...On topic, my five years in Edinburgh were probably the best of my entire life. It's by far the most beautiful city in the UK, and it rivals many across the world.
There is nothing more special than walking up Salisbury Crags on a sunny evening, up on to Arthur's Seat, and admiring the view... The museums/bars/pubs/restaurants are just fantastic too. You could spend a fortnight's holiday in the city and not manage to see/do everything.
If you've never been to Edinburgh,.. go!! You won't regret it. :cool:
"By far"? Is it really much more beautiful than Canterbury, or York? Or are you talking about genuinely sizable cities rather than large towns/villages with City status?
