Only yesterday he was talking about MP fees..

    A sudden death?

Not the most popular person by any means but sad for his family and friends.

Always sad when someone dies suddenly. Hope the CT's don't start up soon.

Running story on BBC News 24 now

Strange coincidence they were running a dinner time interview with him on PM yesterday evening.

I only know about him because there was an article showing him basking on a beach in Brazil recently. I wonder if it was a heart attack?

Very sad news. RIP Bob Crow. You were a true hero of the working classes and a pain for the Tory toffs. :(

Salary of 100thousand pounds per year but would not move from his council house.

52 so young! How awful for his family. I hope right-wingers show the maturity and restraint lacking from those pathetic lefties who celebrated Thatchers death and don't start opening champagne or anything as stupid.

No disrespect but he loved his food and booze and he was very overweight..

    No surprise to me.

But very sad for his family.

No wonder he could afford a holiday in Brazil. RIP Bob

Quite shocking really considering recent events. Possibly a heart attack?

I have heard of quite a few men in their 50s who are overweight or perhaps smokers having heart attacks.

I'm working class and absolutely no supporter of labour socialists communists and fellow travellers. - Nevertheless sad to hear about Bob - and only aged 52.

I doubt too many London commuters will be mourning, but sorry for his family.

Are you suggesting Eddie Mair bumped him off?

Love him or hate him, at least he left a mark. Given his often puce colouring, a heart attack looks likely here.

    Twitter's currently saying:
Bob Crow died at Whipps Cross hospital, Leytonstone. Medics spent an hour trying to save his life. Suffered aneurysm + massive heart attack

He was only a few years older than me. His poor family.

Sad when someone dies, but never really liked him or his ways. Union members will miss him, but I imagine many commuters won't.

He actually didn't look that bad in the flesh. He's a tall guy and carried his weight well IMO.

I wonder if they'll arrange a commemorative strike.
