You been on the wacky baccy billy,he has improved l give you that (on Sky)

Oak I couldn't stand him once him and Goldstein I had to turn them off every time they came on (although it was mainly because of Goldstein) but last night I sat and watched him (Cundy) and I just thought he's as good if not better than any of the others on Sky that does that job. I'll be honest I've only watched him twice so far so it's early days but I like to give credit where I think it's due. On the opposite side of things I'm seeing more and more of Goldstein on TV, :( on Sky to be more precise and it's not pretty mate, I've seen him on the Sky pool series, on the Sky premier league darts which I watch every single week and now he seems to be festering into snooker the other night during the final I had already spotted him in his little box right at the front when Willie Thorne said in commentary "we have some celebrities in here with us tonight Andy Goldstein the radio presenter is in the audience" .. "celebrity"? ... celebrity my BOTTOM. :p
I believe I'm right in saying Goldstein did last Sunday night's Sports Bar show from the Crucible, is that right do you know?, I don't listen to the Sports Bar whoever is on.

Abrahams must be a worried guy this morning, after bragging all season long his beloved Hammers will go up as champions he now finds his team faced with a very well equipped and totally committed Blackpool side determined to have another try in the big league. I watched the Birmingham v Blackpool semi last night and am impressed with the Seasiders I like their commitment and fight, and they have been there before with most of the same players and I think that gives them an edge. I'm tipping Pool to beat them in the final and moose will be getting another twitter message from me rubbing his nose in it.

    PS..
For those that weren't around in here at the time, Abrahams rubbished Sheffield Wednesday 2 years ago when they were relegated to division 1 by a point on the last day of the season saying "good riddance to them" ... since then I have taken every opportunity to have my little go back at the rotund gob$h1te. :D
Listening to H&J today confirmed its not just the Moose and Irani who are the idiots at Talksport, Andy Jacobs said...

" last night I watched the play-off semi final & the Europa cup final and you could see the difference in class between the top sides and the championship"

I would not argue there's a difference in class, but anyone watching the match between Birmingham & Blackpool could see it p-ssed down for the whole 90 Min's, what type of game was he expecting.?

It shows you how ignorant and blinded Andy Jacobs is too anything outside the premiership.

Your last point goes for all the regular presenters other than Durham who knows his stuff on the football league just a shame he wants to spend his programme winding up premier club supporters.

Brazil asked West Ham fans this morning, 'are you pleased to be playing against an open, attacking Blackpool or would you have prefered to have played Birmingham who would have parked the bus?' Has he watched Birmingham at all this year or is he still thinking of the McLeish team from last year? We scored more goals away from home than anyone else in the division including 3 at Upton Park only a few weeks ago, and he still thinks we are defensive! This is why I very rarely bother with talksport, very few presenters seem to have a clue.

Brazil cant stay sober enough to analyze any football games.

The majority of "Talksports so-called football experts"

will not discuss teams in the lower half of the premiership

let alone teams in the lower leagues........

    ...it's beneath them.

I don't suppose they've mentioned much about tonight's first league 1 play-off semi final between Stevenage and Sheffield United have they?, haven't heard Brazil and his halfwit lapdog this morning but expect it's all United and City which is fair enough to a degree that IS the big story but they really should also be covering all the play-off games because they are big as well at the moment.

Around here there is a MASSIVE rivalry when it comes to football, on a good day Wednesday can attract 38,000 like last Saturday (word from the club is they could have sold another 20,000 tickets had there been room to get them all in) - Sheffield United can also attract a similar audience potentially so you can clearly see where I am coming from. I'm not saying either club gets these gates but the potential is there, the city is large enough to attract crowds like these.

Like I say there is a BIG rivalry BUT a helluva lot of Wednesday fans WANT united to go up through these play-offs, they want it because it's great for the area playing each other, the banter all season is first class, and let's be fair here United finished on 90 points a fantastic total, they had been in the top 3 most of the season, they scored more goals than anyone in England of all the leagues (I believe that is right) only for us to rip it away from them in the final week.

For all that I want the blades to win all the play-off matches and come up with us. :)

I've just switched talkSPORT on as I type this, (just to see what they're talking about) ...... Irani is on about sponging freebie tickets for the Monaco GP with that Hooray Henry bloke Potts.

    Does it ever change?.

Listening to the UKs only 24 hours sports station and in the last 90 minutes they are yet to give score updates from the latest round of county cricket or the rugby league match between Wigan and Saints who just happen to be the two biggest teams in the sport.

For a station that is dedicated to sport, this is very poor considering their is very little else happening this afternoon.

Unless it involves the English football Premier League and in particular Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Spurs and Liverpool they ain't bothered a monkeys mate, you might as well join the other hundreds of thousands that have just given up on them.

There's live Premiership rugby at 17:30 - Leicester Tigers v Saracens.

They've had reporters at both of today's Football League Play-Off games, with Alvin Martin joining Tony Incenzo at the MK Dons v Huddersfield Town game (with his son David playing in goal for the Dons).

I listened to bits of Matchday Live this afternoon and Sam was giving out the SPL scores fairly regularly - with all three of them being dead rubbers that's pretty much as good as you can expect seeing as the station no longer has its own dedicated Scottish football reporter since Peter Martin became a presenter on Real Radio Scotland (something they'll hopefully address during the summer - with Rangers not in Europe, I think Tom Miller is a realistic candidate to report on the Scottish teams in European club competitions and Scotland internationals for talkSPORT).

They also had commentary on Harlequins v Northampton in the earlier Premiership Semi-Final in the rugby on the website, which I reckon should have been on AM and DAB like tonight's game, but nonetheless it seemed as if they were cutting to the Stoop for regular updates when I was listening.

This evening's commentary on Leicester Tigers v Saracens has been very good so far. As noted during the Rugby World Cup, Andrew McKenna is a very good rugby commentator and has done a sound job so far.

Just a shame Brian Moore is working for Radio 5 Live today rather than talkSPORT, but you can't have everything!

I guess Brian Moore just prefers working for the most listened to sports orientated radio station in the UK that being BBC Radio 5 of course. ;) They also have the most listened to Saturday after-match national phone-in, (just thought I'd make myself sound like someone that works for THEM for a change. ;););):p

I woke up at 3.15 in the morning recently and half coming round from a dead sleep in a weak moment I reached over out of bed to the bedside table to grab my pocket DAB radio to sample the garbage on Mike Graham’s show. On inserting the tiny little earphones into my lugs I suddenly heard the most boring, uninteresting, tedious, dull, uninspiring, mind-numbing drivel you could ever hope to not hear. Graham was discussing American NFL, NBA with some guy and the harder he tried to sound interested the more he sounded like he couldn't care less, they’ve obviously armed him with a few fact sheets because to his credit (even if he was reading it) he was at least attempting to respond back at times but it still didn’t work.

Someone said the Sony Awards are up again next Monday night so what will Mossy win this year folks?, I suggest a KNIGHTHOOD at the very least, maybe chuck in the freedom of London as well so he can walk his sheep over Tower Bridge when it’s market time. We owe so much to this great station controller, just stop for a few moments and look closely at all the things he is responsible for at talkSPORT since he came, look at the fantastic schedule he’s brought to us, all the new wonderful sports, until he took over I was never even interested in Liechtenstein water polo or Uzbekistan table tennis or even Papua New Guinea ladies rugby and now I just can’t get enough of THEM, tremendous work Moz you've made the station a winner lad. (inserts SIX clapping hands smilies)

Like I say it’s got to be a knighthood minimum as a thank you.

But the reasons for 24 hour sport do make sense. I TOTALLY get why previously listeners hate it but i don't get why they don't understand the change.

Billy should talksport remain as it was on the off chance you wake up at 3.15 tomorrow morning? Or should they try and maintain a continuity of broadcasting that is, if nothing else, in keeping with the very title of the station?

What I am doing Cantona is saying I don't like the new format one bit, in fact I hate it, no it won't change a single thing me saying it I know this but I still want to keep saying it anyway because this is a talkSPORT message board where such views are supposed to be made public.

I understand the financial reasons for the change, they are now aiming for a global market, trying to tap into billions of potential new listeners away from these shores armed strongly with English Premier League live matches and debate to an awaiting eager new audience that love the Premier League to bits, all I'm saying is that is great for all them but not necessarily great for a lot of people here at home in the UK who used to love the non-sports slots.

Basically mate I'm just totally pi$$ed off at current affairs going. :(

    PS..
I know a bloke here that's got £2,000 on Man Utd winning the title tomorrow, he put the bet on ages ago when it looked a certainty your lads would do it, would have made a grand (and still will do if City cock up tomorrow) .. have to say it's not looking likely now is it.

Even though Talksport have lost me as an overnight listener

I fully understand the reasons why they have changed,

IMO they have done the right thing.

I still tune into Talksport for the sporting shows I have

always listened too before the change.

My prediction tomorrow is both Manchester clubs will Draw,
UTD have got a tough game away too Sunderland
CITY are home to a QPR team that need a draw to guarantee their safety
I think Bolton will beat Stoke.

If i listened overnight i would be equally as peed off as you are (irani mode on) don't worry about that (Irani mode off).

But if I'm honest when i first started listening to talksport the non-sport stuff felt out of place to me. Personally though i got used to it and i have to admit i miss George Galloway as that was probably the non-sport show i enjoyed most.

As for Man Utd, they are 8/1 to win the league today. Normally i would have some of that as a value bet but even in my most optimistic moment i fear the ship has sailed!

I love football mate but my favourite shows were the non sporting ones and I'm still gutted by what's happened, admittedly the standard on the overnight shows had dropped alarmingly over the last 18 months as Moz Dee deliberately in my view ran current affairs down allowing people like Nigel and others on all the time who had completely nothing much of interest to say, in Nigel's case what porn video he'd recently bought from his corner shop, details of the latest lady cyclists bottom he'd recently ogled while he was out riding and the never ending website plugs where you could get info on his records.
The story on the guy I mentioned having two grand on Manchester United winning the league was thus, ... he was given £2,000 by his grandmother as a present recently because he was skint, his grandmother thought it would really help him and cheer him up, (he's married with kids and needs every penny) but the fruitcake thought it a cast iron safe bet to lump the lot on United when they looked absolute certs and make an easy extra grand on top, if City win he'll be even more pi$$ed off than you will Cant!. :D

I believe it is. These days he works as the lead commentator on Rangers' online TV service RangersTV.tv and since Peter Martin joined Real Radio a few months ago, he has been called upon by various talkSPORT shows as their "Scottish Football Correspondent" (bit of a tangent here but it annoys me slightly that the presenters never mention that he is an employee of Rangers when he speaks about their ongoing financial problems; I wouldn't normally object to a football journalist not revealing their relationships with clubs but given the gravity of the situation there I think it's a bit like speaking to a politician without revealing the party they stand for).

Well done Talksport for going for a break at 3pm and when they come back Spurs have taken the lead. Why did they not have a break at 2.58pm and be back for kick off. So much for Football First.
