That is the meaning for them. Makes more sense than the 'real' meaning
Doesn't surprise me, as to most people these are just holidays. Though kids should probably know the history of these festivals.
I hope that's clear.
In our area, there are Catholic schools. All others are non-denominational and don't have religious instruction any more.
Besides, Easter is all about commercialism. if it wasn't, then you have to ask why shops owned by non christian faith continue to sell Easter eggs, Christmas cards, etc?
They ought to make it a capital offence and put a full stop to it.
I think its great they have plenty of time to be guilted into religion when they're older. Bring on the choc i say.
So what?
Have you considered that it might not be important to them, even if it's important to you?
not much of a choice you're offering
brainwashed or obese
And I suspect most adults don't know the original meaning behind 'religious' festivals. They think Christmas is about the birth of Christ and Easter is about the crucifixion of Christ.
Both couldn't be further from the truth.
I think it's a disgrace.
Why so surprised?
Who cares, it's a load of rubbish anyway. Just let kids have fun without all the religious rubbish!
thats uk life in a nutshell
So what some people are atheists and don't care about religion parts of the holidays.why should they.
Do you think atheist should make their kids think about the religious things.now that is a disgrace.
Sheesh.
Country going to the dogs.
