I can't even remember when i was a child i used to get tapes but around 2000 onwards i chnaged to CD's i remember having alot of Britney Spears cassettes
In the mid 90s I had a C90 cassette in the car with Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon on one side and Mozart's Requiem on the other. I eventually wore it out and had to record another one.
I have been pleasantly suprised that there is now quite a few cassette only releases coming out theses days. Limited runs of pro duplicated tapes but with special artwork sleeves and music not available on any other format (or download). I have been discovering some superb music, my latest being the un-named album from duo 'Bebe Fang' and their track 'Walk' on the said cassette only album. Distant shimmering voices and spidery instruments sound good to me. I play it in bed with lights out and on my D6C with headphones. Cassette is nowhere near dead yet.
