2011 – Azerbijan Ell & Nikkii ‘Running Scared’
I voted for Running Scared, but it's an equal with Dima for me - Running Scared just nudged it for my vote because it's fresher in my memory! :D

Lordi for me. I'm not a fan of metal anyway but that was especially dreadful. I wasn't that keen on Satellite either but I liked Taken By A Stranger.

Exploitative freakerism at its finest. Barnum and Bailey would have been thrilled.

Dima Bilan. That song was just style over substance.

I also had a soft spot for Running Scared even though it wasn't my favourite entry in 2011.

Got to be Serbia in 2007 because I still couldn't hum it if my life depended on it it's so forgettable and I'd have loved it if Dancing Lasha Tumba had won, although I still can't "believe" that Russia beat Shady Lady either.

I see Azerbaijan's entry has been oted one of the worst. It certainly isn't one of the best, but I don't think it is as bad as other winners.

I'm obviously alone in thinking Azerbaijan's winner was a great song and deserving winner!

:o I am shocked. I thought it was probably one of the best winners ever. I think it's just a backlash against some of the politics of Azerbaijan, probably also explains Russia and Serbia getting a lot of votes in ther poll also. Just because of some bad singing on the night. It's like saying that Airplane was a terrible film because of some ropey performances. You should judge only on the song.

The best winner ever was Ukraine's 2003 Wild Dances by Roslana

Rise like a Phoenix. If it hadn't been sung by a bearded man dress as a woman it wouldn't have won. Believe and Molitva were also pretty dire.

    2010 – Germany Lena “Satellite”
Got to be Lena for me. The song was totally average and nothing-y, she is really not to my taste, and she only won because she already had a big following.

There should be rules against how big a singer can be outside of the contest, as it just gives some artists an unfair advantage as it did with Lena and several other winners such as Loreen and Lordi. We even tried to exploit that factor ourselves by using Blue which proved the point as we got a good result.
