Is anyone going to any gigs this year, or already been to any? There seems to be quite alot of good bands gigging at the back end of this year. I'm going to see;

The Pigeon Detectives
Maximo Park
Milburn

That's so far anyway. Went to see 'Hadouken!' earlier this year too. :)

I've been to loads of gigs this year but am trying to cut back as I need to save money. It's hard though. My upcoming list is:

    Hard-Fi
Robin Guthrie (ex Cocteau Twins guitarist)
    Willy Mason
    Kasabian
Maximo Park (4th time, they are amazing live)

I'd also have gone to see Arcade Fire again, but I'll be on my hols in NYC when they play Glasgow in October.

I also like the Pigeon Detectives, I've seen them a couple of times and really enjoyed them.

    The Hoosiers - Oct 1st
    Editors - Oct 14th
    Kaiser Chiefs - Nov 30th

I'm sure there'll be plenty more in between too.

saw the hold steady at Glastonbury - absolutely brilliant i agree.

next one is Prince at the O2, shortly followed by the after show at the Indigo next door immediately afterwards.

I've seen Muse twice so far this year and got one more in September. Seeing Happy Mondays and the Sunshine Underground later in the year. I've been very lucky to win tix to the Kasabian secret gig on Thursday, although I have seen them twice already this year (but I've seen them 12 times in total!) :D

I would like to see Kings of Leon if they come up near Leeds sometime this year.

    And Arcade Fire...

I went to a pub/club yesterday there was a gig on with a few local bands playing. Very good. 'The Hair', I think are on thier way to something big. They're playing at Escobar in Wakefeild where The Kooks, Arctic Monkeys and The Cribs have all played before they got on the bigger scene.

I've only got a few lined up for certain: Scissor Sisters, Darren Hayes and Take That. Probably will end up going to see Sophie Ellis Bextor later in the year as I missed half her performance when she was supporting George Michael. Wouldn't mind seeing Crowded House either, but I'm a bit skint at the moment.

The Maximo Park one in Newcastle should be good. Bands in thier hometown's are always sell-out top-notch gigs. Off to see them in Doncaster, myself.

I want to go see Enter Shikari aswell, don't know if they're gigging near Leeds though...
