im off to america for a month soon and dont think ill be able to cope without a data connection on my phone. I wont particularly want phone call or text options but data only really.
Has anyone got any suggestions of the best way to get a data sim for the usa lasting a month?
Ive seen this but its twice as expensive as i was expecting to pay

Many thanks,

I've got one of these for international use. It's £20 for the SIM and gives you £10 credit to start. Their US data is £0.20 per MB. Haven't used it in the US yet, but I'm going later in the year. Worked well in Europe though (although data wasn't as cheap there).
The only thing I noticed when I was in the US is that it didn't have a 3G signal was really the only downside but it did have reliable signal coverage.
I've got one and I am off to Maine next Friday so i'll report back how I get on.
There are three tarrifs available, see here: http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/cell-phone-plans/pyg-cell-phone-plans.jsp?wtSlotClick=1-005ZH4-0-2&_requestid=23947
I like the unlimited $50 plan, useful for long term visits. But I think i'll go with the $2 a day plan + data package.
