Very hot here, bit of sun and blues skies and quite a few clouds.

Was thinking of the beach myself, Bournemouth/Studland will be lovely judging from how it is here.

I am burnt to a crisp. That will teach me to have a garden party and consume copious amounts of alcohol.

26.9oC and overcast on the South Kent coast just now, air is very still but not sure there will be any rain. Starting to get humid again!

Very humid here, but the island is wrapped in fog and only a few glimpses of the sun!

Really hot here in Dundee today. The sun was out but its overcast here and very very humid. I have all the windows open and the desk fan going.
Too warm for me. Roll on the rain and the cooler weather.

Wow hammering it down here in central London!

We never got that in South London....we had thunder and lightening but only about three drops of rain and it stopped. Currently blue skies and 28c.

In the end we didn't get much in Norwich - about ten minutes of moderate rainfall. It was enough to wet the ground for half an hour, but neither here nor there when it comes to our status as drought capital of the UK. Apparently the next significant chance of rain here is next weekend.

One thing the local radio weather forecaster said a little while ago is that there is some Saharan dust in the rain that has moved up through the south-east and East Anglia as that is where this weather has come from, so you may find your car needs a wash.

Hottest day of the year I think. It's the first and only day when I've switched the air con on that early. Normally it doesn't go on until the late afternoon but today it's been on since just before lunch.

The autumn heatwave here last year was warmer than any warm period since 2006.

It actually did rain briefly in Essex around 1pm, but it's bastard hot now - 30C in my flat, even with all the windows open and having had the fan on for the best part of an hour.

A 5 minute walk to the post office earlier saw me drenched in sweat on my return. It was so hot.

Very warm here at the moment - Bicester. I wouldn't, however, call it a heatwave.
