I wonder if I'm alone in that I find slightly melancholy songs tend to make me feel far better than songs that are written as "feel good" songs...

This is just so infectious that you can't help but smile http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuaHlOt3SgE

I also love the Spanish Celebration Mix of Waving Flag, with David Bisbal. It will forever remind me of dancing around the living room and watching the celebrations at Cibeles as our team won :)

Agree with that one. Always gets me happy. Same for Vogue by Madonna. I always feel myself singing along when I hear it.

Snap....possibly one of my favourite songs ever. It always surprises me how the Cure were considered a bit Goth and subversive at the time but really just wrote some cracking pop tunes.

    My additions to the list....

Fascination by Alphabeat (has me bopping around the living room when I'm far too old to do it)
    Morning Child by 4Hero
Can you Dig It by the Soupdragons
Hounds of Love by The Futureheads
    Lovely Day by Bill Withers
    Superstition by Stevie Wonder
    Uptight by Stevie Wonder
Bittersweet Symphony by the Verve (not really a happy upbeat song but there's something about waking up to the first string chords that makes me feel positive about the day ahead).
