Men Watching Pron Together?

I was a tender 16 when our town got it's first sex shop. I wouldn't have known what one was if the local rag hadn't done a textbook 'local uproar' piece which acheived exactly nothing beyond giving massive free publicity to the place. Obviously within days I'm wandering down the main road and see a mysterious looking shop, double fronted, no windows, all painted charcoal with the heading 'Private Shop'.

I don't know about you but my youthful curiosity translated the word 'Private' to 'What is the world trying to hide from me now - I just have to see this'. My inner autopilot had me approaching the front door, heart beating like an overcharged rampant rabbit, before I even knew what was hapenning. No turning back now or else someone will see me looking shifty and I'll be hauled up in front of assembly on Monday.

Now I'm inside, eyes widening like a kid in a candy shop. Only the candy here looks like it's meant as a token attempt to cover a lady garden before it is eaten. And not by kids. I manage to control myself and look like I've been here a million times, before realising that the few people in there, and even the guy behind the counter look as shifty as I think I look, so I relax into my shiftiness and just browse.

I'm wondering what in god's name half of this brightly coloured rubber stuff is for before I spot a familiar sight. A rack full of VHS tapes just like my local video library, only with a few less genres available. I know where this stuff fits into my world. Scanning along and beyond the rack I spot an open doorway to a small room with a TV and some plastic chairs arranged in rows like a cinema. Wow, a free viewing room for pron videos! There's no-one in there so I slip in quickly and take a seat in the corner to watch the sort of thing I always knew was out there but never knew where to buy.

Five interesting but flustered minutes later another guy comes in and sits on the far side of the room. A kind of urinal etiquette seems to be at play. I manage to avoid a full on look but peep out of the corner of my eye to make sure it's no-one I know. Just like being in a gents public convenience actually. About to get back to the video when yet another guy comes in and heads to the front corner to be as far away as he can. I don't know him either but that doesn't make me feel any more comfortable. I'm 16 in a strange place with a couple of guys I don't know trying to get turned on by watching free pron.

I get up to leave. No need to cover up any physiological evidence of teenage hormones stimulated by images of ample feminine curves. Any enjoyment ceased the minute the first guy entered the room, and anyway, no-one is making any eye contact. Now I just feel seedy. I leave the room and the shop, quickly scoping both ways to see if I've been spotted. No-one I know there so I get on my way and pretend none of it ever hapenned.

So, enough of my story and back to the topic. Namely that I've never felt that pron is something two straight men should watch together. I've watched it together with partners but I don't think I'm alone in thinking two men shouldn't watch pron together unless they are intimate with each other. There are even adult cinemas here in nearby Soho where men (and I believe some women) go to watch similar movies with a room full of strangers. I think in many cases, far from an unspoken 'no eye contact' rule many participants go with the intention of having every possible kind of contact.

Not sure I could ever go into such a place without feeling like that furtive 16 year old boy who ventured just a little too quickly into a strange men's world and quickly wished that he hadn't.

That was really well written Iwant, I liked your use of similies.

Women just laugh when they watch porn together, nothing seedy.

I remember watching it in the cinema when I was younger and the place was packed.

It was about a protagonist hacker who tries to hack the ENCOM 511 mainframe but is confronted by the MCP and is digitized and then .........

Oh sorry, that was TRON I was watching.

I take issue with this sentence:

"I've never felt that pron is something two straight men should watch together."

Do you feel that two gay men should watch porn together? Or just like everyone else, it's far more commonly enjoyed with one's partner, whether you are gay or straight.

MrsPVR have watched plenty of stuff together and the following sentence of my OP was:
I've watched it together with partners but...
For the avoidance of all doubt I should clarify that I am in no way prescribing acceptable behaviour for all men, gay, straight or otherwise, just saying that I personally wouldn't enjoy sitting down with even my closest male friend and watching any kind of pron.

Couples, whether gay or straight, can watch anything they like with my blessing, FWIW!

I'm not sure that anyone should be watching Tron though. ;)

It's a weak attempt to prevent DSs or anyone else's filters from substituting P*** which could be misinterpreted as any number of four letter words which would make my thread title even more confusing.

He made it perfectly clear what he meant. Talk about trying to take offence.

My first encounter of porn was as a pre teen at a friends house. She discovered her parents stash and curiosity got the better of us. Candy goes to Hollywood! good old 80's porn complete with storyline :p Loved porn ever since.

My first encounter of a adult shop was when i was 17. Just hanging out with a male friend doing some shopping when he said he needed to get some porn. I insisted he buy me a present and so i got a spunky monkey keyring. A day or so later he asked me out so it became almost like our first date :p

I know a bloke who always uses two words to describe anything sexual - which he incessantly does.

Every day it's all masturbatory wanks and vaginal fannies and penile cocks. I think he enjoyed sex lessons at school a little too much.

    What's Pron?

It's commonly used on torrent forums. Everyone knows what Pr0n is. Admittedly there was a typo as it should have had a 0 not an o..

    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Pr0n

    It's Leet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leet

Get with it non techies lol:D

Not to be confused with asciipr0n.

Really funny well written OP. :D

The first time I watched porn was, as you say, with other people!

My friend and I went to our other friends brothers house when we were about 14-15 . There was about 8 of his brothers friends there watching hardcore filthy porn (my friend and I were the only females there)!

We just kinda stood there, giggled and ran out the back garden.

Looking back it was a VERY weird situation to be in

    Blogs are good.

I don't have one. I don't get creative very often. Lack of sleep due to neighbours fighting at 4am gave me too much time to think.
