It was uploaded in it's entirety over three parts by the subscriber - if you don't mind subtitles, it still makes for a good watch, that is if you don't want to purchase the DVD!
I would highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of the Nightmare on Elm Street series, very informative and a fun watch, doesn't seem as long as it really is!
All the ones with Heather Lagenkamp. A villain is only as good as the hero/heroine they're terrorising. This applies to the Halloween series with the Jamie Lee Curtis starring entries to the franchise.
Didn't he turn up with a friend who was auditioning and they chose Johnny who wasn't even going up for the part? Or maybe I'm thinking of another actor who started that way?!
Sean Penn was the friend Johnny accompanied for moral support.
Also interesting is that Brad Pitt and Charlie Sheen auditioned for Part 2 and the idiot director thought that neither had talent, and would never make it as actors. No wonder part 2 sucked so much.

Think you've got that a bit wrong. Due to Taps and Fast Times, Sean Penn was one of the most promising young actors in Hollywood. Way before Elm Street went into production. The rumour is Depp accompanied Jackie Earle Haley, star of Watchmen, to the audition. Ironically, Haley went on to star as Freddy Kruger in the 2010 remake of NoES.
Haley has kind of shot down the rumour though. He cannot remember if he auditioned for that movie - saying if he did it is possible he sat next to Depp in the audition room.

Although Brad Pitt did appear in an episode of the God awful Spin off, Freddy's Nightmares. Hilariously bad!
I found Lezlie Deane's interviews quite uncomfortable to watch. Is there something wrong with her? Sitting there with that woman on her lap like she was her pet gimp acting like nothing was out of the ordinary.
Brilliant documentary though and very re-watchable.

Wasn't it very strange??m I also was wondering what exactly happened to Tuesday Knight's face - was it a botched facial surgery??

I know of that rumour and that Jackie shot it down, I got the info about Sean Penn actually from a previous Documentary about NOES, can't for the life of me remember what it was called but it was on the biography channel about 10 years ago I believe.
There were loads more up and coming young actors that auditioned as well, but Bob Shaye and Wes Craven just did not see them either being stars or as the characters they were up for.
