If both already have new partners, it might appear that they stayed together for what they thought was a show to make them 'stars' So the con was conned!!

I seem to be missing something here. Why would it be worth the conman's while to convince them that they were tv stars? Expecially at such length and with so much trouble?

Please tell me that Mario's new girlfriend is not 22 though. I]shudder[/I

Perhaps the biscuits have run out and the hot juicy tea has gone cold.

I'm actually gobsmacked! What will their millions of fans say?

Genuinely though, it is sad you'd have thought they were for keeps.

Wow who's next? Comes in threes right?

Oh gosh! Sympathy rating = zero

I guess Mario can dunk Farley's rusks in hot juicy tea with his new girl.

They all sound devastated. Luckily they have the Daily Mail to console them

    I mean :(

I don't get it either. But they do say it is easy to con vain or greedy people. What desparate wannabes they still are, then. Shame, I think she should have known better. He however always seemed a complete fool.

    A little more info here:

I have sympathy for Mario and Lisa - they were duped by a well-practised con artist and did not deserve that. Their crime was to want to be on the telly and to continue being famous - there is not much wrong with that and I think many, many ex-HMs would have fallen for the same scam.

Yes, fair enough, but I still can't quite see what the con was. Who was paying him?

I liked them as housemates (as cringe inducing as Mario is!), but you could tell the relationship was on shaky ground even then!

He then used his celebrity contacts to convince people to invest tens of thousands of pounds in WorldScreen Group, convincing them it was a successful media company.

If Marisa (good, eh) had 'invested' in him under the belief that he would get them on the TV, but didn't come through (and had no intention of doing so) then that would be the con.

    On another note...
    'Silver fox'

One WorldScreen Group investor is currently suing Carmichael and the company for breach of contract and the return of more than £42,000.

Carmichael, who likes to be known as the 'Silver Fox'

It pays to know who the rogues are...

    ;)

    Probably a publicity stunt.

But I absolutely loved Mario in his series. He was the best housemate ever for me.

This is the only footage of the 'fake reality tv show' that they filmed.

Looks hilarious, even though it's supposed to be serious! :D And wow, they obviously had some work done, but it makes them look worse imo.

And since when did Lisa do fear factor?

Well having seen the trailer for the reality show I'm sure if the money had rolled in Mario & Lisa would happily conned people to make their show look like 'reality'

Is Lisa and that muppet really saying her choosing to be filmed undergoing surgery ruined their relationship...

I don't think Lisa & Maria were financially conned it was the investors in WorldScreen who were likely duped?
