I'm amazed how Paul Gasgoines court appearance for common Assault at a Railway station was leading story over other major news.

    It's because Kay did an interview with him in 2009 and they were able to show a clip of him saying her would never drink again so as not to let his kids down.

    Would have thought that if they didn't have that they would have bothered.

    I only watch Sky News while on holiday as it is the only channel available with UK news in some instances and you soon realise how sensationalist it is with some very minor stories.

    I always get the feeling that the world is going to end on most of my holidays when watching Sky News!

    It's a slow news day, it's listed as one of the top stories on the BBC website, Gazza is still a well-known public figure and his sad battle with alcoholism has been well-documented, today's court appearance being the latest chapter.

    Hardly surprising with that "news channel", I bet they probably kept referring to him as Gazza as well.

    I though Gibraltar was their leading story at lunch time.


    Edit : Paul Gascoigne is not even a major story on the Sky News website.
