As she's just had a movie out with Reese Witherspoon she does seem a bit big for DWTS. I remember Artem saying he and Kara used to watch Modern Family together, so he could just be a fan of her from that.
I strongly suspect BBC does have the funds / resources to get big names, high calibre celebs to do Strictly. They probably only use about 10% of what they get for this though and the rest goes to the execs for big pay bonuses etc. ;-)
It doesn't seem to me that DWTS casts better than Strictly. This year we have yet another person whose "fame" consists of posting vines on Youtube. Isn't he 14? Last time, some girl got a lot of views for her videos or has a lot of followers on Twitter - Bethany I think? And that's all she did.

And one finished in 2nd place despite being rubbish. Also 2 "Jersey Shore" drunkard chavs. And I forget how many "Housewives of the Rich and Famous." And as far as I can tell, most of them haven't done anything worthwhile or artistic, at ALL, ever, nothing at all other than being creeps.
