  To be fair...participating on Strictly rarely generates bad press...It`s been said a lot this year...Strictly tries to make the audience laugh whilst The X Factor tries to make them cry...In essence Strictly as a rule generates positive headlines for the contestants...and with that comes the occasional opportunity to further one's career or earn a bit of extra cash.

  Well said. I honestly can't think of a single contestant whose profile or reputation has suffered as a result of appearing on the show. Yes, some contestants, like Jason Donovan and Lulu for example, got a fair amount of derision on this forum, but out there in the real world it didn't do them any harm at all.

  Don't know about great, but I do think that Natalie and Susanna will not come out of this any better (Natalie as an actress failing to connect with the viewers and Susanna's breakfast image being broken fast for quite a few people).

  WELL Abbey got the Ultimo contract and Sophie got some publicity and plays for her new album (very dire imo) otherwise not much else
