Taking a couple of days' schedules at random - for which information could be wrong as previously posted by other posters - it seems to be where there is a programme started before 00:00 on itv3 that programme is not fully re-shown on itv3+1 and a replacement programme is fitted until the itv3 replica schedule is matched which is ultimately teleshopping...

They aren't switching programmes around, just showing incorrect EPG details. The programmes shown were not those listed on the Freeview EPG, it's wrong, they are listing programmes from Thursday's schedule on Wednesday.

Just a bug that needs fixing, not a re-scheduled version of ITV 3 +1 specifically for Freeview.

Playboy could take nighttime hours from ITV3+1 or Channel 5+1 / 5 Later

It would be very odd for Channel 5 to share any of its capacity with a channel from Playboy, considering that Playboy is a competitor to Channel 5's owner, Northern & Shell and the fact that Northern & Shell have their own range of "Adult Chat" channels.

But... stranger things have happened on Freeview...

So ITV 3+1 is not launching on Freeview per se, it's just a placeholder to keep a slot/EPG number for ITV and will be only available overnight and removed in time?

I have the channels in order and don't want to have to edit all the TV's to put ITV 3+1 in if it's just overnight and temporary. I'll just delete it and forget it was put there!

It would appear so, Paddy C, and it that respect it's similar to Dave ja vu. Therefore, I'm not bothering with either of those two channels.

I doubt it, LCNs 55 and 63 aren't really prominent.

Yes I can also confirm from this morning's playout of Law & Order UK which is a re-transmission of itv3 an hour earlier.

55 might not be prominent, but it's certainly catchy for Channel 5, along the lines of 47 for 47.

Actually, I checked through a few programmes in the listings. It would appear that they are actually listing the following days schedule on the EPG. Somewhat inconvenient as the listings disappear 24 hours before a programme is shown. Absolutely useless for a PVR.

It might be catchy and memorable for a full time channel, but wasted on a part time channel.

I am not aware that anyone has confirmed what hours this channel will eventually broadcast.

Indeed but 5* and 5USA are only part-time channels, filling a significant proportion of their existing hours with teleshopping. Even the main channel fills the night-time schedule with "Super Casino". There's no reason to believe that Channel 5 would suddenly wish to depart from this track record with a new channel...

I don;t really understand this message, but from what I can tell - you are suggesting that ITV3+1 is to use the space Sky Text is vacating.

This can't happen. You can't put a channel where a text service was. Text services take a tiny amount of space on a multiplex.

Some form of reshuffle is going to take place then, even if its just moving Childrens and news

The changes were on a national multiplex, it wasn't a regional roll-out.

The EPG for ITV3 +1 now has programmes from 01:00-07:00 (no shopping) starting on 25th. The EPG hasn't fully populated (it seldom does at weekends) but the transition from programmes ending at 03:30 to 07:00 differs each day from what I can see. CITV starts at 06:00 as usual
    eladkse wrote: »
What is the scheduled start time for CITV on that day? They're currently timesharing.
The EPG may be wrong, compounded by the change to GMT.

OK my EPG has filled out a bit more. The 07:00 is, of course 06:00 once the clocks have changed. The Shopping appears to be replaced by the Emmerdale Ominbus edition on the 27th.

Who can authorise an EPG move about?

    A reshuffle is sorely needed.

Digital UK manages the EPG and would coordinate any reshuffle required.

As suggested on their website, http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/industry under 'Channel Updates' in the last couple of weeks, that they are due to announce in the autumn the arrangement for a channel to be slotted on LCN 48 and channels available on a 'geographically shared' basis.

Other than in NI and Manchester, viewers see gaps between LCN 51-53, 56, 60, 62 because they are allocated in Manchester and the first three in NI. Perhaps to reserve LCNs for 'geographically shared' areas between LCN 51 and 60 and any national channels such as BT Sport, True Entertainment, 5 Later are to be moved down beyond LCN 61? Or to move the current 'geographically shared' channels down the list and the national ones up towards LCN 51.

As previous posters have said, only a couple of more channels slotted when LCN 65 has been allocated to trigger a 16 week scheduled change for the childrens' and news sections to start from 121 and 131 respectively.

Other than a potential shuffle up for LCN 48, changes when TUTV closes on November 1 for LCN 26 & 54 and changes to the childrens' and news sections as outlined above; there will be no foreseeable major reshuffles. Where channels would continue to be added at the end of the channel sections as when they are launched including placeholders reserved.
