Yep, he was Queenie's Husband. Naomi Harris was Hortense and "Alice" from Luther was Queenie.
Well worth a look on DVD.
I'm sure I caught the first part on tv, though never saw the second part. I'm going to look for it on HMV's website.
It's probably worth reading the book again though I'd have to buy a new copy otherwise I'd read all of the annotations from when I was studying it instead of the story.
I'm watching Atonement at the moment. His character is really creepy.
He did an excellent job of telling the story of playwright Terence Rattigan in "The Rattigan Enigma" on BBC4 last week.
It is repeated this evening at 11.45, and is well worth watching!

I found it on youtube. Glad I watched it after the exam though, it completely skewed my character veiws.
Is Atonement any good? I'm not usally a fan of that kind of thing, but I'm williing to make an exception.:D
He has a good acting pedigree, his mother is the lovely Wanda Ventham and his father the urbane and handsome Timothy Carlton ( Cumberbatch )
His manners are impeccable, so they should be seeing he is an old Harrovian. Apart from all that he is a very very good actor.

whilst watching Small Island, I was trying to work out where I'd seen her before! I couldn't work it out. I only figured it out today - Pirates of the Caribbean!
It's really annoying when you can't work out where you've seen someone before.

Sherlock though is exactly my type of program, incidently, does anyone know when it's back?
Sherlock is supposed to be back with three new episodes in the autumn. I guess that's why they've been repeating the first series this summer, to refresh people and hook in new viewers...

Ah...cool. Can't wait. Is anyone watching the Rattigan Enigma btw?
I wish they'd do more than just 3 episodes of Sherlock each series. 3 isn't enough! Benedict is a great actor for sure. Really versatile. I saw him on stage a few years ago and he was outstanding. Can't wait for the new series of Sherlock.

Doesn't do it for me, and someone REALLY needs to have a word with that web designer about the pink font!

Atonement is amazing. One of my favourite films.
Benedict is extremely creepy in it, though. Be prepared to be disturbed.
I just saw a clip where hes telling some girl to eat a bar of choclate.
"You have to bite it"... (<--- There needs to be a more sublte smiley for this, but still)
Tis still on order from Amazon though

Me too - it's an absolutely brilliant film in my opinion. In my top 5 definitely!
Oh yes, me too.
I watch Sherlock for him - not my sort of programme at all usually.
I do that quite a bit, like Small Island.

Omg yes! "You stole my boat!"

He's also hosting HIGNFY on Dave right now
