If you like his humour Julian Clary's "A young mans passage" is funny, touching and a little sad.

Head On, by Julian Cope. And its sequel Repossessed (you can get them both in one volume now). It doesn't matter whether you like his music or not... it's a brilliant read.

Catherine Cookson's "Our Kate." Its mainly about her complicated relationship with her mother.

Another great book is "Cider with Rosie" by Laurie Lee.

I've read them both recently and thought they were both brilliant.

Have just got "its not what you think" by Chris Evans, and want to get the Jo Brand one
