The NTA? What a joke!

Coronation Street voted best Soap?
Loose Women outperformed The Apprentice & Top Gear?
David Tennant best actor (now he's left his popular role lets see how successful he is next year shall we, now he isn't propped up by the Doctor Who force?)?!

This speaks volumes about the majority of those who voted for this.

I don't pay taxes for those who don't work, and spend their lives watching daytime tripe and other failing shows to spend their time voting stuff like this! AHHHHH!

Agree with first two points - not third .

DT =imo excellent actor who obviously won't be nominated in the forseeable now as he has left a long running cult show.

Would like the NTA to be shown on BBC - no stupid breaks after each award and see if the ITV bias remains

What??? Even Emmerdale should have got it if not EE (of course it is personal opinion).

Yes, I agree, but not Loose Women. You could see how surprised they were.

The only result that was a joke, imo, was Loose Women winning.

I've heard they have literally begged viewers every day to vote for them, so I'm wondering why they were so *surprised*

David Tennant is excellent but he wont be nominated next year as, as far as I know, he's not going to be doing any acting in the UK this year as of yet. I believe Christopher Eccleston won before DT started winning, so perhaps it'll be Matt Smith next year if he wins over the fans.

Yes he did, Shane Ritchie's face when he won was a picture! It's really only the mainstream stuff, that gets nominated. I mean Christopher Eccleston won for Who but not Cracker or Hillsborough? Although I don't know when the NTAs started so it might have been after them!

They are the ones who voted for Loose Women.:D

The Americans have an equivalent show called the View - they debate a wide range of things there including Iraq and politics as well as human interest and showbiz stuff.

If only our equivalent wasn't so shallow and one dimensional.

Eastenders has had a brillaint year.
Emmerdales improved and people were moaning how boring Corrie was.

ITV cheated this by promoting corrie and not the others
    treating it different is unfair

    Typical itv

Anytime I've saw LW all they ever talk about is themselves.

I realise it's a "talk" show but these wimmin take self obsession to a quite worrying level.

Please leave the 'i pay my taxes' rant for the politics thread where it belongs, and if it winds you up so much, then stop watching.

Though i'll concede that Top Gear should've won.

Now I agree, they merged best drama actor award/ actress award last year to one award.

But when you do this actresses never get a chance as young females are the majority of voters, so whoever they fancy at the time will always win it, I know someone in the industry and they even said the day an actress wins they will eat rotten fish, not because he dislikes actresses but the trend of voting in recent years.

Need separate actor/actress awards NTA's, you know just like that little awards thingy called the oscars:p

Don't know why they changed it in the first place personally

The full list of nominees had women in (like Keeley Hawes who deserved to be shortlisted) but obviously weren't as popular as the fellas...

You do realise DW has a 47 year history, and a hardcore fanbase that will more likely read The Guardian or similar?
