Favourite THIRD albums?

Yes, it's a shameless continuation of the "favourite second albums" thread, but whilst I was picking my best of those I got thinking how many of my favourite albums were third albums which despite many attempts these bands have (imo) never bettered:

Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast
Def Leppard - Pyromania
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet

Good thread for excluding Gaga maniacs!! (I like her, btw,. but I don't like how if you started a thread on 'Best Second World War Songs' they would try and squeeze her in somehow.)

    Wire - '154'

Lady Gaga- Born This Way :p

Here come the Gaga stans. Technically, thats not a third album, as The Fame Monster was an EP, but okay, if you wish, put that.

I'm going to say, Trip the Light Fantastic by Sophie Ellis Bextor, her best album so far. And also Agnes - Dance Love Pop.

Counting the 2 'Tubeway Army' albums, I vote for The Pleasure Principle - Gary Numan.

Yeah, I suppose you're right and I had a sneaking suspicion that somebody might highlight this. The only reason I put it as the third is because many people (including Lady Gaga herself) consider The Fame and The Fame Mons†er as two separate pieces of music. And who am I to disagree with Mo†her Mons†er!

    However, your point is valid!
