UnleashX on Xbox

Hopefully this is ok to discuss...

I have UnleashX on a classic/original Xbox (modded obviously).

Under system > settings > Date/Time settings, I have Autoset Clock "yes".
Under Network Settings: type is DHCP.

Yet the clock still sometimes reverts to 12:00, 2007

Is there something I can do to force a clock update?

I know the capacitor has worn out.

I take it there isn't a battery back up attached to the motherboard that needs replacing? Otherwise I think your last sentence sums up your predicament.

There is no battery in an Xbox.

When not in use, I would like to have it unplugged.

UnleashX should update the clock when date/time defaults - since it is connected to the net.

Well that's just the design of the Xbox. If you turn off your Xbox and keep it plugged into the wall then the time will be kept, but if you disconnect it from the wall entirely then you will have to manually connect or reset the clock yourself.

I just leave mine plugged in on an anti-surge 4-way extension, the Xbox power cable also has a built in filter to regulate the current, then there's the fuse in the plug and failing that the in-line fuse on the console itself. It's not going to catch on fire if that's your concern?

Fire is not the concern, cash saving is.

But UnleashX IS supposed to update the time/date automatically via the net - it's in the settings.

Should I change the SNTP and port used?
