They were travelling towards Charleston, South Carolina where a new government had been formed under the name the Continental Congress and eventually got there at the end of the 8th episode of Season 2
The "near civil war" as you called it took place in the last two episodes
ok, cheers..........
I've just read the blurb in the Radio Times which sets the scene for the new series...........
We've moved on by 7 months and Tom has been elected President
So I guess as we join series 3 they're still in the bunker
It also says what a couple of the early story lines are but that might be construed as spoilerage..............naughty Radio Times !
I'd forgotten about the other aliens..............
It was OK............not a blockbuster but OK, moved the story on a bit
There was another show recently which featured a baby who grew up real fast because it had alien blood............think they might have pinched that idea..............

The character of the Starchild did something similar in V: The Series
That's the one I was thinking of............but I didn't watch the re-make so I must have been remembering the original from 30 years ago...............

Or you might have caught the original series when it was repeated (on the Horror Channel, I think) a few years back
Do we know how the oldest son ended up in a wheelchair?
I think the med staff said they couldn't find anything wrong with him but there was a suggestion that he had been implanted with some sort of bug by Karen (at least that's what I think...)
Sorry to see Manchester get killed. I like Terry O'Quinn. Was hoping mopey middle son would get the bullet but no such luck.

I'd prefer Youngest Son or Bible Basher Girl to get the bullet next
I don't think there are any Yorkies there................:p
I reckon it'll be the ex-cop who was brought in to help him..........after all he'd be the one who knew that they getting closer to the mole ie himself................
hope I'm wrong though..............he could be a good character.........

Hmmm...he was charged with short listing the suspects, so I doubt that would have been a motive, as he already discounted himself. I think the implication is that Hal is the killer, but Manchester would have been surprised at him being able to stand and walk. He was also expecting him, at some point that evening; "you're early..." is the greeting Manchester offered his killer. There really would not have been any reason to be expecting Hal Mason.
ETA:
All of that said, Dai had gone missing when he followed Pope and the Beserkers, when they left the 2nd mass.

I suppose we're all meant to think that the wheelchair son is the mole.............but that's too obvious. Anyway wouldn't he have left with the raiding party when the mole filmed the plans ?

I'm betting 5 mins when we get the first Popeism(not including the previously on bit)
There's enough there to keep me interested and well it's obvious those aliens have an ulterior motive.

Have to say the baby's smile was rather creepy.
Don't steal my catchphrase!!!
Now Tom Mason is President should we call him PPH (President Professor Hero)??

Great start to season 3 with the Creepy Baby.... and the dirty boots - always a bad sign, for both.
Pope simmering....not a good sign.
And who is the Mole/killer.
I like Deni
Or you might have caught the original series when it was repeated (on the Horror Channel, I think) a few years back
Or alternatively it's a very good sign as IMO you can never have too much Pope
Please let one of his sons be dead

The ex-cop is Anthony
Dai died at the end of Season 2

that baby is scary...............
Someone could have filmed the plan, then gone on the raiding party
