I know some don't agree, but I think Moffat had a great plan for his time in control of the show but had to make regular and significant changes and compromises because what he was doing wasn't going down well either with viewers or the senior team at the BBC. And I think the evidence is there, on screen, for all to see.
If you imagine that this is the case, then that's up to you. But your assessment is completely subjective, and does not tally with mine.
I truly hope I can say the same of those episodes when they air. This dosen't really prove much though, they are the bbc promoting their own show, their not exactly going to turn around and say "we think this series is turning out a bit cr*p really" are they?. They would have said all the Matt smith series were amazing at the time if asked, which tells me all I need to know about their official opinion
If they allowed an independent viewer who was trusted not to reveal spoilers to view the episodes early and give their reaction that might give more of an indication, but then that would still only be one persons view (though I'll happily volunteer if the bbc are interested:D)
Also, glad to read that they are starting with a 'clean slate of storylines' with capaldi with 'little reference to his predecessors as that sounds like Moffat distancing hiself from the mess of the arcs of the Matt smith era and hopefully taking the oppourtunity to start from scratch and get it right this time
And we can see from your 'one person's view', that it could be wrong, too... ;-)
I guess the 46 degrees C (115 degrees F) here would be a tad warm for you. Just a typical Las Vegas summer. Got up to 118 degrees last year. But then, we do love our A/C!
Haven't got air conditioning in my house, unfortunately. I have got a Ceiling Fan in the sitting room, plus two fans. Not to mention a fan in my Mother's room, a fan in my Father's room and one in mine.
From about the beginning of April, until at least September, I make sure the windows are open for most of the daytimes, but shut them overnight, to try and prevent mosquitos coming in. My window, in my bedroom is open all the time though. I cannot sleep without it being open.

We are already in the 80's here so I am already have the A/C going. But I have solar panels and have 2.6 MWh of electricity sitting in reserve for the summer that I have banked at the power company. Next week we are going to be looking at our first 100 degree day. One nice thing is that it is too dry for Mosquitos here most of the time.

lol that would be too hot for me too!
oh and IM glad not to have mozies to worry about too!
Whilst all this is excellent news about Capaldi can I just say.....how warm? I'm in vegas in 6 weeks and that sounds far too warm for this northern boy.
while a lot of planets have a north, not many parts of UK have 46C
Last part of June will run around 103-106F during the hot part of the day and cool down to about 75-82F at night. Humidity levels are pretty low around 10 to 20% on the average so the heat doesn't feel so bad.
Besides, the casinos are all air conditioned. But get out and see the Hoover Dam and some of the other sights of the southwest desert. There are some very spectacular sights within a 100 miles radius of Vegas.
