Doesn't matter how good or bad your connection is. The Yanks will always host. If they have a crap connection you'll lag.

Yup - my connection is normally about 50 - 60% wireless (terraced house - damn those wall thicknesses ....) but played first game of COD in ages without any yanks and lo & behold - no lag

Just because you fail to get your equipment working properly or are using a less-than-steller IP, doesn't mean wireless gaming is "crap".

Where the hell have i said i cant get my equipment working correctly ?? I have never had a problem with my wireless 'working properly' when i had no other option but to use it. Given an option, which i have now, i use wireless and would never go back as there was a noticed difference once i got plugged in.

As for using a less tha steller IP, i am on Be* - hardly less than steller provider.

All your replies have been on a similar tone, ie other members dont know what they are doing as yours 'works flawlessly' etc yet never even gamed with it, then test on a demo ?? LOL

And yes wireless gaming is CRAP compared to wired.

YOu said wireless is crap but others on here have said they have used it for years without any problems at all. I think your setup is crap.

I originally used a BT homehub wirelessly on my PS3 but just changed to Virgin and a Belkin router and have it connected via ethernet.

Both performed the same (wireless and hardwired), with the router in different locations.

Kids are BIG COD3/4 users so it gets hammered a lot + there are 2 desktop pcs, an archos 704, psp and laptop all connected wirelessly too but the speed is rarely affected.

Sounds like the o/p isnt using the correct wep key (found under the router).
