So, apparently ACDC have finished work on their new album. Anyone else looking forward to it? I will probably be in a minority on here but I really enjoyed their last one. Hope they get to Ireland again.

Saw them at Wembley on the 'Black Ice' Tour, and they gave a solid performance , as always.
Would love to catch them again, hopefully Malcolm can overcome his 'serious' illness and join them on next years rumored tour.
Im not sure whats going on regarding joeys exit but there is no way on earth he wasn't the one who recorded this.. its him all over, would be genuinely shocked if I am wrong there.

I don't think Corey is as angry as he once was. I thought the same about the drums but then thought there must be a few people who can recreate some ones style, but could be wrong also.
I did try. Honest. I got bored & turned it off though. Too generic & the vocal was horrible. I did like the intro however. I was thinking "oooh...this is actually a bit good". Then the vocal started & it all went to shite.
I'm loving the new Threshold single "Watchtower on the Moon". I'm excited for the new album, there's been a lack of decent Progressive Power Metal this year imo..

I like it but I suspect I'd like it more if it was about a minute shorter
I agree, the end does go on a little bit too long. I wouldn't mind so much if there were lots of different parts but the same bits repeating over and over can get a bit much.
They seem to do this a lot on their last couple of albums, II still enjoy them but I miss their songwriting style from the "Dead Reckoning" era.

I like some of their stuff. Saw them live last year at Bloodstock but I'm afraid I found them rather dull.
I saw them in Punchestown on that tour and they rocked it (The Answer were great too ).
I listen to a lot of metal bands that use violins, just some off the top of my head;
The SIns of Thy Beloved,
Therion,
Tristania,
Sirenia,
Turisas,
But yeah, more can't hurt. I think it sounds really good if done properly.
Not really. Most Folk Metal bands have one, as do some Symphonic bands

corey sounds very thin now though

I enjoyed AHIG to be honest

I've never liked Slipknot, I must admit.
Stone Sour on the other hand.....

Who says metal isn't popular?
The Judas Priest album is really rather good. I bought the Tesla one but haven't had the chance to give it a proper listen yet.
It's obviously very popular in Germany
