Well, Check and Send is only £8 on top of the normal passport costs (£77.50)
So I don't know where you two have got £15 and £50 from
I've had a passport for quite some time now, and every 10yrs they require a renewal, unfortunately the price goes up each time.... so today a passport costs what you have said.... when I got my first passport it cost £30, then my renewal was to be exact (inc. check and send) £48 - granted I put £50, but I was rounding up the amount.... what's £2!
anyway by the time I get another renewal, which will be in a couple of years time.... it'll be approx. £100 ...(a great money maker)
it's the same with driving licences - my first photo licence cost me £6, now it costs £20 for the 10yr renewal..... no doubt in a few years time, it'll be even more.... it's the nature of the beast and times/prices do change!!!!
