Anna really is the most disgracefully crap mother >:( Who would say that to their thirteen year old daughter if she were in Faye's situation? If Anna's so keen to keep the baby in the family she could offer to take over its care so Faye can get herself some qualifications, or she could bring up the subject of adoption. To insist that Faye gives up school to be a mother is unspeakable >:( >:(

Just because Anna is a brainless slug who can't string two thoughts together, (and is also a rubbish mom), she's happy for Faye to be one too ^_^

Faye should have thought about that though. At the end of the day, she was the one sleeping with someone, without thinking. She needs to know there will be consequences for her actions.

What about Jackson? He can't get away with this.

From what the hat has said in interviews, Jackson will eventually want to be a hands on father.

Sarah will play the wife of Tracy’s ex-husband, Robert Preston, who will reappear in Weatherfield and embark on an affair with Tracy.

Robert and Tracy wed in 1996 in Weatherfield but lived in London for their short-lived marriage. He was a carpet fitter then but is returning as a chef, reports The Sun.

“Robert’s going to be a really good character and shake things up for Tracy,” a Corrie source says. “The love triangle will be gripping and viewers will be waiting for the penny to drop as he tries to juggle to very strong women.”

That's OK so he can work at the Bistro and not have to venture out of the Street. I wonder where he will live. Eileen could probably squeeze him in somewhere or maybe the Platts could accommodate him. :D

Corrie bosses are to give Deirdre Barlow a fitting Street send-off after consulting the late Anne Kirkbride’s family.

Deirdre will be written out of the soap this summer in what a source claims is a storyline fit for a Coronation Street legend.

Scriptwriters have been working on ways to do it since Anne, 60, lost her battle with cancer in January.

Now they have finally come up with a “dignified” storyline to explain her departure and also pay tribute to her 42 years on the ITV soap.

Sources says her husband David Beckett and their family have approved the plot.

Cast members will film the episodes surrounding her exit from the Street in the next few weeks.

    Monday 20th April
    7:30

David borrows Nick's car and tells Andy that he has a plan. David pulls up outside a seedy pub and orders Andy to go in and buy some drugs. Andy is horrified, but David threatens to reveal his true identity to Michael and report him to the police if he doesn't cooperate. Andy then carries out his instructions, returning to the car with a small bag of drugs before David speeds away.

Later, as Michael puts the finishing touches to Gavin's birthday tea, David pulls up outside the Dog & Gun. Spotting Callum's car, he orders Andy to plant the drugs in Callum's glove box. Inside Callum's car, Andy fumbles with the drugs, unaware that Callum is heading back to his car. David watches, horrified...

Meanwhile, after spending the night together, Sean and Billy are loved up. As Billy sets off on his parish visits, Sean regales Julie with the story of the homophobic landlord. Sean is horrified to discover that Julie has called the Gazette about his homophobic encounter and sends the reporter packing. When Billy arrives in the pub explaining that the sick child he was visiting died, Sean forgets his anger as he comforts Billy.

Elsewhere, when Jack's child minder falls ill, Jenny insists that she'll go and collect him instead. Spotting a slight rash on Jack's neck and completely overreacting, she rushes him to the medical centre.

Also, Bethany is appalled when Sarah enrols her at Weatherfield High School.

Finally, as Roy and Sharif work on their allotment, they meet Cathy on the adjacent plot.

    8:30

Callum is stunned to find Andy in his car and frogmarches him into the pub, demanding answers. Andy makes out that he was trying to steal his car and the drugs just fell out of his pocket. Callum is having none of it and menacingly threatens Andy, until David bursts in, admitting that he ordered Andy to plant drugs with the intention of then reporting Callum to the police. As an angry Callum vows to teach him a lesson, David does a runner.

Later Andy arrives at his birthday party, explaining to Gail and Steph how David is in trouble. As David runs down a darkened street, he is suddenly pounced upon by Gemma, Callum and Macca, who drag him towards the car...

Meanwhile, as Sean comforts Billy, he confesses to Sean that he is falling in love with him. How will Sean react to his admission?

Elsewhere, having been given the all-clear by the doctor, Jenny takes Jack home and asks him not to mention it to Kevin. Clocking them, Tyrone wonders why Jack was at the doctors. Kevin is bemused.

Also, Roy and Sharif find some common ground with Cathy as they work alongside each other at the allotment.

    Wednesday 22nd April

Scared to death and trapped in the boot of Callum's car, David shouts for help. Callum insists that David needs to be taught a lesson, but what does he have in store for him?

At the same time, Andy explains to a horrified Nick and Gail how David tried to plant drugs on Callum. Steph and Andy are left rowing when Andy suggests that he should move away and start afresh on his own. Deeply hurt, Steph tells him that they're finished. She then confides in Luke about how Andy has been leading a double life and masquerading as Michael's son Gavin. How will Luke react to her revelation?

Meanwhile, Jenny lies to Kevin, but when Jack lets slip that Jenny took him to see the doctor, Kevin demands to know what's going on and why she lied to him. Jenny admits that she spotted a rash on Jack's neck but realises she overreacted. Kevin says that he needs to be able to trust Jenny if their relationship is to work. Sophie warns her dad that Jenny's behaviour is strange.

Elsewhere, on Sean's advice, Eileen tells Todd that she is going to stop messaging Jeff in Dubai as it isn't fair on Adrian. Todd is secretly annoyed.

Also today, Roy and Cathy enjoy a cup of tea together at the allotments. Cathy asks Roy about Hayley and tells Roy how her own husband died of cancer 6 months ago.

    Friday 24th April:
    7:30

Gail prepares for her wedding, but is left upset when Audrey phones to say she is poorly and won't be able to make the service. Just as Gail hopes nothing else will go wrong, Luke marches across the street and punches Andy, ordering him to stay away from Steph.

At the registry office, Michael waits nervously with Nick and Andy. Gail arrives looking a million dollars but when Andy - sporting a black eye - is forced to admit that Luke now knows about his double life, Gail despairs. Suddenly consumed with guilt, will Gail feel able to say 'I do' to Michael?

Meanwhile, Kevin is grateful when Jenny offers to look after Jack for the day while he and Tyrone attend a meeting. Sophie makes it clear that she disapproves. When a woman compliments Jenny on Jack's manners, Jenny thanks her, making out that Jack is her son.

Elsewhere, urged on by Sam at the hospital, Sinead walks a few steps with the aid of crutches. Witnessing their bond, Chesney feels a pang of jealousy. However, when the doctor tells Sinead she is ready to return home, it's Chesney that Sinead hugs with elation.

Also, Sharif suggests to Roy that they could each have their own allotment if they could persuade Cathy to give hers up. How will Cathy react when she realises their intention?

    8:30

As the wedding service grinds to a halt, Michael is devastated. Can Gail overcome her nerves and marry the man she loves, or has guilt finally got the better of her and will she confess all to Michael?

Later, Sarah slips out of the wedding to meet Callum in The Rovers. Bethany gets drunk and causes a scene in the pub. Andy admits to Steph how he thought about leaving but couldn't as he loves her too much. Will the couple reconcile?

Meanwhile, when Jenny hears that Jack's child minder is going to be out of action for weeks as she has broken her leg, she secretly phones her employer and quits her job. What is Jenny up to?

Elsewhere, as Sinead prepares to leave hospital, it's clear that she is nervous and Sam offers his moral support.

Also, Cathy is deeply hurt to think that Sharif and Roy were plotting how to take her allotment from her. Roy orders Sharif to apologise to Cathy or consider their allotment partnership dissolved.

Finally, Maria makes a shock decision after hearing about Luke's violent behaviour towards Andy.

What a horrendous pile of poo this week looks. Apart from Roy having a normal conversation with a normal woman who does not live on the street that it. For this producer that must rate as groundbreaking!

More Tracy bl**dy Barlow, more David and camp Callum, more Sean and Billy, just more of the loads of old twaddle we have every week.

Callum calls on Gemma and Macca to help him sort out David :D:D:D

Is that the best he can muster up - Macca looks like a consumptive with rickets and Gemma's a girl. Let's hope Cal never has any trouble with rival drug dealers if he has to rely on those two for back up :kitty:

Corrie seem to be filming a fire scene tonight at their set.

This image has been circulating on Twitter, a few at first thinking the actual set was on fire but local journo's saying its for 'special effects' scenes.

Looks to be Barlow's Buys/Roy's Rolls or Victoria Court from what I can tell...

Coronation Street character Deirdre Barlow will be laid to rest in 'the biggest soap funeral for years'.

Producers of the ITV show have decided on a storyline that will see her character die and mourned by the cast - in what one insider described as "the equivalent to a state funeral in soap terms".

I am guessing that she lost a child in tragic circumstances.

Isn't it strange how all CS characters when first joining or re-joining, have a dark secret.

    7:30

When Jenny accidentally walks into Maria, Maria is slightly annoyed but is shocked when Jenny angrily bites back. Later, as Liam and Jack play together, Jenny is furious when she catches Liam hitting Jack and vows to tell Maria how badly behaved her son was. When a row ensues in the salon, Jenny ends up slapping Maria in the face, leaving Maria completely stunned!

Sinead prepares to leave the hospital for home. Chesney is overcome with jealousy when Sam hands her a parting gift. When Sam later tips up at No.5 to return Sinead's favourite pyjamas, Chesney feels pushed out.

Sarah is horrified when Bethany appears ready for her first day at Weatherfield High in a short skirt and bright red lipstick.

Sophie is suspicious of Jenny and curiosity gets the better of her when she goes rifling through Jenny's bag to dig up some dirt. But when Jenny catches her, how will she react? Elsewhere, Sharif leaves Roy to do his dirty work.

    8:30

Sophie is still suspicious of Jenny and doesn't believe her when she tells them all that it was Maria who slapped her, and not vice versa. But when Sophie tries to tell her dad the truth about Jenny, he refuses to believe her when she tells him that Jenny lied about the fight with Maria and that Jenny wasn't sacked from her job at all - she quit. Desperate for someone to believe her, Sophie tries to get Maddie on side but when even she thinks Sophie is over reacting, Sophie storms off to her mum's.

Chesney struggles to hide his jealousy towards Sam. Picking up on this, Sam makes his excuses and leaves - but not before Sinead makes him promise to visit again. But when Sam approaches Chesney outside the chippy, Chesney is pacified when Sam tells him that Sinead is lucky to have such a loving boyfriend and promises to stay out of the way.

Sarah manages to talk Steve round and becomes the latest barmaid to grace the Rovers Return, which gives Callum the perfect opportunity to flirt with her over the bar. Meanwhile, Bethany's unfazed when Nick reads her the riot act about going back to school.

Cathy calls to see Roy in the cafe but quickly leaves in a hurry when Roy suggests a drink in the Rovers.

    Wednesday 29th April

When Sarah lectures Callum on his parenting skills, the chemistry between them doesn't go unnoticed by Carla, who later tells Nick how friendly they seemed in the gym. When Callum buys Bethany a new phone, Sarah worries about how she will explain the new phone to David; but when Callum follows her out into the Rovers backyard, Sarah can't resist and they kiss passionately - only to be caught in the act by Nick!

Kevin reassures Jenny when she apologises for causing trouble between him and Sophie, telling her that if anyone is at fault, it's Sophie. Sophie is stubborn when Sally and Tim try but fail to persuade her to make amends with her dad, vowing that she isn't the one in the wrong!

Sinead is thrilled when Alya and Izzy ask her to make a bespoke basque for Alya's first order and Chesney is delighted to see Sinead so upbeat.

Nick and Carla enjoy one another's company at a wine tasting session. When Roy cooks a curry for Tyrone, Luke and Gary, Tyrone suggests they have a curry challenge.

    Friday 1st May
    7:30

When Bethany sends a cheeky text to Carla on Nick's phone, suggesting she and Nick meet up for a drink later, Nick's amused. But later as he waits for Carla in the Bistro, he's taken aback when Erica suddenly turns up - revealing she's pregnant!

Sophie decides to bite the bullet and heads over to No.13 to make amends with Jenny. But when Jenny snaps and orders Sophie to back off from Jack, Sophie is gobsmacked. When Kevin and Maddie walk in, Jenny hurriedly tell them that Sophie attacked her.

Alya is pleased when Sinead presents her with the finished basque. Alya and Izzy work on their next batch of designs for posh knickers and an enthusiastic Sinead offers to set about making them, keen to keep busy.

Sally is intrigued when Roy tells her the graffiti on her house looks like a Banksy and could be worth a lot of money. But when she finds Tim and Norris trying to wash the graffiti off, she goes out of her way to preserve her mystery new wall art.

    8:30

Chesney is worried when he finds Alya, Izzy and Sinead working on the new knicker range and asks the girls to leave so Sinead can rest. Sinead tells Chesney that it's her body and that he needs to stop interfering with her sewing.

Sally is disappointed when an art expert tells her that the graffiti isn't a Banksy while Maddie, Sophie and Tim are highly amused. Sally orders them to get scrubbing!

Still reeling from Erica's bombshell, Nick confides in Carla. Can Carla offer Nick the support he needs or will Erica's return put the brakes on any chance they had of a relationship?

Luke curses himself when he accidentally eats the wrong bowl of curry. Roy is pleased when they decide to have the next night at Gary's and include him in the plans.

It is a good plot. The Coronation Street storyline I am more interested in now. Far more exciting than the dire Callum and David plot. I think Jenny could be a psychopath, like Emma is meant to be on Emmerdale.:o
