    It's a war song, isn't it?

Hitler . . . has only got one ball
The other . . . was in the Albert Hall

    Yes - here

Oh right. That's interesting. The version I know of that song is different. Am I allowed to quote it? Ah well, the worst they can do is ban me:

Hitler .. has only got one ball
Goering .. has two but very small
    Himmler .. has something similar
And poor Goebels has no balls at all.

Note to our American friends: do the British really go on and on about the second world war? Too damn right we do, even to the extent that we sing anti Nazi songs in the playground.

I have heard that version before but only as an adult, we always sang the other one. :D

Doh! I was thinking current affairs rather than pop, now you've mentioned that, of course I know it!

But Natarhi knows it...unless she's really a lot older than she claims. ;)

Hey! I now know that I'm only 3 years older than Keren, so that can't be it. (Unless perhaps I'm just very well versed in slightly rude children's songs. Which is possible. :o)

:p Nope, I'm not. I clearly just went to a very traditional school. ;)

Well, I just got my husband to do the citizenship test (he is Australian but has lived here for 24 years). He got 7/10 and, not surprisingly, did not know the canteen question, but Natarhi, you will be pleased to know he did not hesitate on the Greek question.

So I was right? They did age Merlin in order to make him look more like the Merlin I'd expect to see at Camlann :)

Not as such no, he came out in his Dragoon old man disguise and then proceeded to kick ass with a lightning storm across the battlefield and then reverted back to his normal young self.

Possibly because Dad's Army was at the height of its popularity when I was a kid and so all things "war" and army were sung in the playground?
Our version involved either the Albert Hall or, when we were being truly parochial, Leeds Town Hall :)

Sorry, was busy reliving my childhood over here. :)

    *curtsies apologetically*
    *fills star's wine glass*

*takes rest of bottle off to the knight's chambers*

Well done, he can have a bonus point from me. ;)
