Hungary have been quite stealthy as a "good" country, as they've only received a medal once in the final and have had lots of ups and downs. Paddy & The Rats are borrowing from the Irish Stew of Sindidun school of thought this time; how it will go down?
Lithuania have only made the final ten times, and three of those are thanks to GJan. Abandoning their version of Laleh in Tirana, they would be eager for someone else to stand out, and they're hoping Giedre can be the one to finally give Lithuania a medal.
San Marino, like Italy, have always come close but not quite with DSFE. However, considering they just made the final in the real show (<3), perhaps things are looking up for this microstate? Violetta is hoping so, as she's about to make her debut!
No songs tomorrow as I plan to be wasted. The final seven will make an appearance on Sunday (providing they're sent!) along with a hungover host. Have a fun Eurovision final :kitty:
Despite a second place in Bratislava decades ago, Portugal has rarely had a standout DSFE experience. They've only qualified once this year so far, but perhaps Clã can change their luck for the better. She's even taken the trouble to write all the lyrics out in the video itself.
There may be two other Danish entries in this contest, but that's not intimidating the Faroes, who will be keen to add a seventh final appearance to their streak of six. However it's been a long time since the Faroes got gold; can Tirana be their third?
Despite being the country with the worst DSFE record, Montenegro are still determined to go at it. Vladana is someone we haven't seen before, and a final appearance would truly make her a standout deity amongst the Montenegrin contingent, considering she'd only be the seventh to make it.
Turkey have suffered poor results in DSFE history, and were even missing in Neuss after Lea Michele's controversial absence in the London final. This time, Turkish-Swiss singer Emel Aykanat and her gang are hoping for redemption as they form Artists For Unicef!
Gotland finally emerged as a nation in their own right in Neuss as they got their first win. Hoping to hold on to the title in Tirana, Elin Lanto has abandoned Sweden in favour of their microstate and will be hoping that it'll be third time lucky for her and second time for them!
Netherlands' streak of final appearances is broken every now and then, summoning national humiliation and public executions. They begin again with Savanna in Tirana, who hopes to be as successful musically as she is at rhyming, with perhaps a third Dutch win on the horizon.
Just waiting for Svalbard now; giving the player a bit longer as they sent their song but it'd already been used.
Was hoping to be able to post all these together, but unfortunately the player in question hasn't been online, so I'll post QF#4 either later tonight or tomorrow.

Was so hoping she would win last night, but 2nd is still a really big achievement for that type of song.
Realised during the contest that I'd forgotten about a couple of other artists that we'd had in DSFE before, Richard Edwards and Kasey from Wonderland. Think that was 10 in total then (Estonia, Albania, Ireland, Macedonia, Montenegro, Italy, Slovenia, Spain, Malta, Netherlands).

Still not got the Svalbard song; I'm going to give the player till tomorrow at 7pm as I know they're busy, but after that I'm going to have to hand it out
Fashionably late and basking in the envy of other provinces, Svalbard have been riding high with their three wins. However, that was all 2013, and 2014 has failed to provide the same standard for them. Can previous winners Donkeyboy change all that?

Also just so everyone knows the results may be at a weird time on Saturday as I'll be in San Francisco and therefore 8 hours behind. But they will happen so no one freak out if I seem to have vanished.
