Maximum sentence the judge could apply would have been two years..... Should be double that at least.

So he'll serve 9 months, or less than that if he gets a tag - all that time, money and stress for a tap on the wrist

Depends - is he employable after this?

I know I wasn't at the trial but I still struggle to believe that Rebekah Brooks (the smirking witch) is completely without blame.

    You'd assume not.

A Guardian journalist who had worked on the case for years was in court and he said that he would have found her not guilty on the basis of the evidence provided... Given that the Met is up to its neck in it for collusion and bribery, it's probably not surprising that the prosecution case was so weak against her. Still all about who you know. Coulson sacrificed to save others!

Come on, let's not pussy foot about. He got nine months. None of this eighteen months crap.

Out in nine. Not enough. Should have got at least five years.

I think he'll probably have agreed to take the rap on the proviso he gets a good job on his release, save all the Government and Police embarrassment. Keep him sweet and keep him quiet.

Yes, that would not surprise me.

Don't put him in an open prison or he'll be out next week.

Going on the run with Herbie the Henchman and Joe McTool.

Will he get his snout from Max Clifford, smuggled in by SC?
