  Its an ok film if you like that kind of thing. Its in the same vein as The Notebook (same author), so a romance rather than a romantic comedy.

  I would say give it a try. You can always turn it off if it's a complete disappointment from the start.
  
  I'm glad I watched it even if I didn't really love it.
