Right, come on Wawrinka and Cilic. Let's have a proper changing of the guard tournament!

Not that I don't want Andy to win more majors, but an end to the era of the big four dominance might be overdue.

Certainly seeing the future champions of tennis potentially in the last few days with Dimitrov/Kyrgios and Halep/Bouchard in the ladies.

    Djokovic in trouble as well..

Awful start from Murray. It's not as though Dimitrov is doing anything spectacular.

Watched from 1-1 in the 1st set and I don't think Dimitrov missed a single groundstroke in that set.

    An outstanding performance.

And then he kept it going and din't blink. Well done to him.

Murray looked like he was a bit 'off' right from the start but as ever, was his mediocre performance (by his standards) down to his biorythmns (or the like) being off, or the relentless pressure created by Dimitrov?

Probably a bit of both but more the latter than the former.

Does anyone know how this will effect Murrays ranking?
He must be in serious danger of dropping out the top 10 now nevermind making the Tour finals.

Novak in trouble, Cilic about to serve for third set.

It's almost like Roger's being given a free run to an 18th title. Hopefully not, as I couldn't stand the lovefest from all and sundry.

Grigor winning wouldn't be so bad, though I daresay the media hype could get grating.

I've had to swap Nole from BBC Sport to telly, I can't listen to Castle's post-mortem.

Dimitrov looks like an Action Man that didn't pass quality control. I don't get the hype over his looks.

#9 is the current projection. Could be worse if Dimitrov gets to the final/wins.

Federer v Dimitrov final would be interesting. However, I'm not sure 32-33 year old Fed can get past Raonic or Kyrgios if he gets to that stage.

Wow what a crucial net error for Cilic - open court, hits the net with his raquet.

Cilic has squandered the break! Watch him unravel if Novak takes the tie break.

Think people are being a bit OTT about him being "finished" and doing post mortems

On the two occasions Murray won majors, Verdasco and Cilic should have dumped him out- there's always a horror show somewhere from Murray

Interestingly had he fluked the second set and then actually somehow won he may well have gone on to win it out!! But that's tennis.

USO is a write off surely but gain points at end of year and get a good seeding for AO and who knows. There's still more majors to be won, motivation could be an issue though
