I think Gavin Gray overnight on BBC News is nice in a sort of apprentice-schoolmasterish kind of way.

Mark Austin is handsome but a bit bland.

Martyn Lewis back in the day.

Anna Ford is very striking with great eyes and didn't do the whole over made-up thing that a lot of the female readers do.

Peter Donaldson on Radio 4 has a lovely twinkle but of course you never get to see it.

I was watching Fox News on some foreign station when on holiday and all their presenters, male and female, look like waxwork dolls, so many facelifts and botox make them look peculiar.

Asha Tanna (one of my favourites) works on Arise News Sky 519. Isla Traquair I believe now works in Canada.

He is the father of Justin Webb, who presents the Today programme on R4.

This is Peter Woods when he was (in)famously taken off air.

I should point out the video has nothing to do with the audio. Apparently a quick thinking engineer destroyed the video of the incident. It was not the late bulletin (as video implies) but was about 7.30 in the evening as part of a programme called 'Newsday' (a fore runner of 'Newsnight') Normally Robin Day would do one major interview with a politician.so he would start off with something like 'In a few minutes I'll be interviewing x, but first the news with Peter Woods' On this occasion when they gave up on woods Robin Day said 'Well, we leave the news a little earlier than anticipated'

Thanks for the info and the clip :)

I think I've seen clips of Peter Wood on one of the archive type shows because his face looks vaguely familiar! I googled him and wiki says he was a newsreader until the early 80s so I was probably too young to remember him. I read that he was in a Morcambe & Wise sketch with some other newsreaders singing 'There's Nothing Like a Dame' and I've seen repeats of that, so that's probably where I recognise him from.

I think Cathy whatsherface from Channel 4 News is quite pretty, and the fact she has a great sense of humour (from her appearance on HIGNFY anyway) makes her really quite attractive. Charlie Stayt would be pretty good looking if it was not for the fact he always comes across as quite the arrogant tit. Still, I truly believe it may be a case he's just not a natural morning person, hence why he'd be pissed off on BBC Breakfast all the time.

Anyway, may I suggest Jon Snow and Moira Stewart for the Golden Oldies category? :P
