Dear experts,
Can you help me remember an animation - possibly stop-frame. It was similar to A Grand Day Out but I don't think it was Aardman. It was a one off lasting for maybe 30 minutes and I'm guessing in the 80s. I remember seeing it a couple of times and think it might have been shown as a Christmas special.
I am sketchy as to what happened but seem to remember it was about a creature going on an adventure maybe through a mad scientist's lab? It was quite poignant but I think it was mostly aimed at children (I was a kid and loved it). The bit I remember is that he encounters 3 odd creatures in test tubes that help him out. In return, they ask for a switch to be turned off which effectively lets these odd creatures die in peace. It was quite sad and certainly not a scary horror.
Anyway, can't remember much more but if anyone can remember I'd be very grateful.
Thanks in advance.
