Is it just me or do Tesco own brand products taste really brand?

Everything I tried is quite tasteless and feels mass produced with not a lot of flavour / authenticity.

    Their fresh produce tastes much the same as other supermarkets.

    Don't have a problem with most of the own brand stuff the value ketchup is nicer than the branded stuff.

    Depends on the product really. Many of them are the exact same thing as the named brand, from the same factory line, just plopped in a different packaging.

    I remember when there was an incident at Patak's factory and they recalled their own products and also products labelled as supermarket own makes.

    There are only two peanut butters I will eat.......
    One is whole earth at around £2.79 a jar and the other is Tesco value at 59p a jar.
    Anything else I've tried from the value range has been mank !

    They haven't used blue stripes on their packaging for their cheap range for around 3 years.
