One of those bidders must surely be Zack Snyder or Bryan Singer?

Exciting just to look at the auction page.

Does it include the free Red Arrow flyer?

So exciting. Hook Jaw, Dredger, Hellman! Whoever wins is going to be a lucky lad.

Some lucky sod bought the entire pre-censor run of Action on Ebay for just over £50 back in May - Less than £2 an issue!

For that price they'd better hand deliver the comic in person. :)

Damn, starting price was 0.99c, could have had a bargain if it wasn't for those pesky meddling kids.

^be 'funny' if at the end of the auction the top bidder was revealed to be a hoaxer, then the next in line was a hoaxer too, etc etc... all the way down to the first 99c bidder who was real and they got the bargain of the century. :)

    Got won with a bid of $3,207,852.00 = $ 1,934,755.31 (ish)

Went up $500,000 in the last minute !! (seller musta been pleased), and a last second sniper tried to nick it with their $3,207,752.00 bid but it was too low, maybe the winner's max bid was something like $3,500,000 - oh to have that much money lying about the place. :)

(and thankfully the seller didn't add a "plus $20 post+packaging" thing that some sellers do with their expensive items, cos that'd be taking the pss.)

I think it'll be a case of it being transported by security guards in an armoured van from one bank vault to another.

yeah, sending such an item via Royal Mail or one of those "other couriers" would be kinda foolish as they probably disregard the "do not fkn bend" instructions on the packaging.

Ha! Can you imagine? You receive your £2mil 9.0 Action Comics #1 via Royal Mail, and there's now a big fold down the middle, and a bit of spine roll for good measure.
Isn't the one auctioned already slabbed by CGC?

^iiuc it's gonna be sent just bagged and boarded, and the buyer has to remove the $3,207,852.00 price label from cover. :p

thanx for the link, google got me their webpage and a most interesting article on Batwoman and how the title's "show runners" have left, but I digress.

As you follow them, any chance you could ask what their MAX BID was, cos I'm curious/nosey about those things ?

Haha, I couldn't ask that! They won't be telling anyway. It would appear that it doesn't come as a surprise to anyone that they on the auction. The whole thing reeks of publicity stunt!
Oh, and I notice someone has asked them how they intend to have it delivered.

Thank you! I don't believe there are only 100 copies approx. surviving. Sounds like rubbish perpetuated by dealers to validate the prices. The major US dealers always have copies for sale, albeit lower grade.

Here the owner of ComicConnect/Metropolis with loads of copies:

^why the heck would someone collect multiple unreadable copies of the same old comic, unless he's an evil genius type person who wants them ALLLLLL and doesn't want anyone else to have any one of 'em.

He's a dealer, so he's only collecting them to sell. However, one thing I've noticed on Instagram is that there are mentalists out there who buy and hoard multiple copies of key issues, like X-Men #1, Hulk #181 and Spiderman #129 etc., etc. Like, dozens of each issue. Sick bastards!
