    You can't compare the two, JLS are millions better, all of them can sing and they have stage pressence.

    Well I like both groups but JLS are a zillion times better. You could actually remember their performances.

    I couldn't remember.... TBF, it's not great to ask now. JLS have won MOBO awards and 1D are still in the competition.

    Tell you in a year though ;)

    No contest between jls and Wand Erection. Jls proved themselves to be talented singers without the aid of a backing track and are also writing thier own material. Musically jls aren't my cup of tea but they were one of the best acts on the x factor that year and have established themselves as artists in thier own right. Wand Erection are a bunch of pretty boy kids who are happy to be exploited by Cowell, mime/sing along to a backing track because thier targeted demographic are so blinded by thier looks they don't care they are being taken for mugs.

    Can anyone say that Take That could sing decent when they first started? Just look where they are now.

    One Directions "cute" factor should not be discounted! They have good enough singing voices, but more importantly they have the right look, the right age, and have MAHOOSIVE potential.

    They apparently have the looks.

    Only one seems to be able to sing, and they all move with the grace of a three legged donkey.

    I disagree with this point, and this goes for ANY act on The X Factor. Take That weren't watched by millions every week in a singing competition. Sure One Direction have their fans, but due to being on the show; they also have many haters and people are aware of how bad they are or how good they are.
