This is the single most ridiculous thread I have ever read on my entire life.

"Does anyone know that middle aged pretty blonde woman from of TV who looks like my friend none of you have ever seen and I won't show you?" is like asking "do you know where that plant with the leaves and flowers is kept in the garden centre?" or "do you know where I can find a particular grain of sand I made a sand castle with when I was eight?"

I know, I'm really sorry. I've just seen people do similar and somebody happens to stumble on it in the first few posts, I thought it was worth a punt.

(It's none of the ones mentioned so far btw)

Since I can't place a character at all, I'm wondering if she might be in an advert now - as I'm kind of seeing her standing side on but maybe turning and talking into camera...

But thanks for everyone who has tried :)

    Ciaran Hinds? :D

Worth a shot in the dark, this seems to be the theme of this thread anyway!

No, I could have understood if it was,,,,, It was Alun Armstrong,,,, Not good looking by any stretch, not 30 but over 60 and a Geordie accent.

But 9 times out of 10 the people that have done similar threads will have given more info in their op than you have in your op.

Yeah maybe, I have seen some ridiculous hits though.

Never mind though, it's not worth getting upset about.

OT but reminds me of when my Mother was giving me directions to the crematorium for my Grandad's funeral... "You need to turn at the Rialto Cinema"
"Ok so I'm looking for a cinema",
    No it's closed"
"So I'm looking for a derelict Cinema?"
    "No they demolished it"
"So is it being demolished? is it an empty site?"
"No it was demolished along time ago..... before you were born"

Glynis Barber - although she is a little older than 30.

Played a cop in Dempsey and Makepeace and Emmerdale, and turned up in Easternders not too long ago.

I'm trying to narrow it down a bit so to help me I'd have to ask, was she in a drama that was quite good?
And did she act alongside a male actor aged between 30 and 50 who had brown hair?:D

I did think of Joanne Froggat too like a previous poster.

    Lisa Faulkner?
    Miranda Raison?

Hmmm, reading back it says like Joanne Froggatt but with a smaller mouth?

Joanne Froggatt has a really small mouth, could this be a wind-up?

That's so funny. Good actor. quite charismatic in a way, but even Alun Armstrong's mother wouldn't call him good looking! Well past the first flush of youth and as for no accent...:D

I suppose it could have been marginally worse eg Tim Healey :p

Does she have big eyes, a bit bulgy and a thin face ?

I don't know the womans name or what she's been in but i picture her in adaptions of Jane Austin

Of course the one I'm thinking of might already have been mentionnned as I've no idea what most of the ones mentionned look like

Given what little we have to go on perhaps the first thing we should have done is to have asked the OP to establish that they weren't talking about a cartoon.

    I think it could be.

If not, model Lily Cole has the smallest mouth evah and a pointy chin which may be dimpled and has been in adverts.

No doubt she is too young though.

ETA Joanna David? (Emily Fox's Mum)http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=joanna+david+photo&form=MSNH90&qs=AS&sk=AS5&mkt=en-gb&pq=joanna+david&sp=6&sc=7-12#x0y684

Probably way off, but I thought of Helen Lederer when I read the OP, although she is definitely older than 30s!
