Excel 2013 - Counting Coloured Cells
I can't seem to find a decisive answer on Google on this so thought I would ask here...!!
I have a spreadsheet of over 100 customers, which the cells are all colour coded depending on the various levels of payment received from them.
I am using 5 different colours for different levels of money paid, so I can easily see the different amounts actually paid by each person.
Is there a formula I can use, at the foot of the spreadsheet, to count the different colours so that it gives me a breakdown of the number of people who have paid the 5 various levels (without physically going down the sheet and counting the colours)?

This might help.
Thanks. ;-)
...thanks for the tip!
...this has actually worked really well - nice simple steps!
the right solution is to use access, not excel, of course.
