After reading that product placement may soon be allowed on TV, I read the following in another thread and had to do a double take.
Now I know that it won't be allowed in Doctor Who but does anyone want to comment on how good/bad they think it would be if it was?

"This Christmas doesn't have to be The End of Time with the Doctor's Constellation Watch - new from Omega"
The show is already a huge advert as it is.
AMY: Ohh Doctor - it's so lovely, so big, so comfortable!
DOCTOR: Yes I bought that settee from DFS - only £599 - but the sale ends on Sunday - so I skipped back in time and got it quick before they'd sold out!
I can see that happening!:D
Black and Deck Sonic Screwdriver
Actually, Zovirax got plugged slightly in "Smith and Jones" which always struck me as odd for a Beeb show!
Yea, I bet even during 'Utopia', their sale was still going on!!!!!
They said once that they only actually have two sales a year, problem is both last 6 months...:D
Why would Torchwood be Sponsored by an Austrailian sticky tape? ( Jasper Carrott joke!!)
Because they are always getting the world out of sticky situations.
And, yes, I know it doesn't really exist. So, ummm, how about some old rope for Torchwood?
The Doctor: First things first, Oh yes bigger on the inside and all that but you'll need some shoes, this way to the Boot cupboard. Any preferance?
Amy: a pair of trainers would be fine.
The Doctor: Oh I love a pair of trainers, how about some Converse? Lets see Converse, shelves 23 to 109. Well we've got Reds, Blacks, Whites, Low Tops, High Tops, ones signed by Kurt Corbain, ones.. Oh wait Kurt was sick on that pair been meaning to get them cleaned. How about these (holds up a pair)? Not available in Earth shops till Christmas 2011 but I picked up a few pairs when I was at the Olympics.
Gets rid of all timey wimey dirt and grimey
(i'll get my coat)
Dr pulls out a few travel brochures. Virgin, Thompsons etc. We can have 2 weeks in Ibiza for £199...bargain! Must pop into M&S for beach towels, sun glasses and a quick curry for 2 at £10 before the trip.
Out goes the police box....
...in comes the Coke machine.
a bit bummed though...Corwin basically did my idea for a Converse ad. LOL
there would - of course - have to be a tea sponser, it helped save the world after all!
