The Labour MP whose recent book claims Cyril Smith sexually abused children says he has met police regarding allegations against another politician.

Simon Danczuk said detectives visited his office on Friday to discuss a case involving a senior Labour figure and the alleged "aggressive" and "predatory" abuse of boys.

Which senior Labour figure are we talking about here? There are quite a few linked - allegedly - to the wider abuse. Cos if people think this just happened in Rochdale they are a little naive.

Who cares what party they are from as long as, if the allegations are true, that they are prosecuted.

Surely, from a legal point of view the allegations would only be proved to be true the defendant was found guilty at the end of any court case

I'm still waiting for Danczuk to invoke parliamentary privilege to finally get this out in the open.

Apparently there are some weird rules about saying nasty things about someone who is in "another place"; so it might be covered by parliamentary privilege but also get him banned by the speaker.
