..get her toxic claws into that lovely mechanic lad.( Steph's brother )

I can see it coming a mile off. Jealous of Audrey's flirty car dalliance with him ( which I loved, btw ), and, gorgeous as he is, he does seem to see any girl who so much as makes eye-contact with him as fair game.
But, GOD, NO!! NOT MARIA!!
Step away from the desperado, before it's too late!

    Maria is another exhausted character who should of been written out years ago but for some reason keeps getting kept on.

    I agree. She only seems to be defined by the man she's with - she doesn't even seem to be a mum now as her child seems to have disappeared of late ;-)

    Well he's probably the only bloke left on the street that she hasn't gone out with apart from Noris and Ken. So Corrie don't have much choice :(

    there is the two gorgeous new fellas, kylies ex and michaels son.

    think she would of been good with kylies ex they could of turned her into a bad girl

    Given the cross-fertilisation in which most of the characters have been involved, it seems unreal that they don't compare notes.

    You'd think I'd envy him for Carla and Katy but the thought of Audrey and Luke going on that drive in the country really got to me.

    Maria is so annoying now, she's just been going round in circles for about 3/4 years, too many actors/actress's on the show that use it as a safety net, about time they just left, before their characters are well and truly worn out! It works on other soaps, but corrie they just go round in circles, yawn... The same applies Kevin and Sally, Jason, and plenty more characters...

    In fairness that's down to the writers not the characters, but yes, I know what you mean.

    The lovely mechanic couldn't possibly be punching above his weight with anyone living on that street.
    Do you not see the divine glow that envelopes him every time he appears on screen?
    Noone, I repeat, NOONE, is worthy of the attentions of the lovely mechanic.

    Yes, agreed - because the thought of Ordreh & Luke going at it like rabbits in the country lanes / on the ring road is pretty gross tbh. Funny, though - how TPTB come up with these daft SL ideas is just beyond bizarre, lmao :-)

    Nobody suggested they were 'at it like rabbits'.
    It's an innocent flirtation on both sides. Are older women not allowed to find young men attractive, and vice-versa?

    I find the idea of lovely mechanic flirting with Audrey a lot less stomach churning than the thought of him and toxic Maria getting it on in the ginnel.

    I guess The Hat did that to quell Audrey's fear to get back to driving after the accident we didn't even see and to get the Luke and Maria thing going. It was daft and so cliché.

    By "cross-fertilisation" I assume you don't mean it in it's real sense with everybody being pregnant by everyone else and therefore all related to each other. :o

    Absolutely agree :)

    I thought it was quite endearing seeing how Audrey reacted to Luke he definitely put a twinkle in her eye and made her feel good, she was chuffed to bits that he even paid for the pub lunch too :D
