Seems a bit restrained compared to earlier episodes. Wonder if it was broadcast after the first couple of transmissions and the kerfuffel had started?

I'm curious as to why so many of the sketches feature American characters. Seems unnecessary.

the way C4's ratings are crashing it might be him dropping them.

C4 knew the reaction this show was going to get they are trying to get as many people as possible to talk/complain in a hope it draws in viewers the more the media is focused on it.

C4's primetime was just a carcrash last night they didnt even come near to 1 million viewers.

Absolutely LOVED the Benny Hill-style sketch! Best thing in the whole series!

The 'pussy' song was quite funny, too!

I've by no means enjoyed everything in the series, but I've liked enough to be watching if he gets a second series of this.

I wasn't keen on the first part of the Batman sketch, but I'd have liked more of the 2050 House sketch.

Bit odd that it just went straight from a sketch into the end credits rather than with some stand-up as it normally does.

Shock/controversial comedy has been around a long time, Boyle wants to push the envelope so to speak, fair enough, but make us laugh along the way, simply being "outragious" (who gives one?) is not enough, be funny, clever, inventive with it, otherwise just do one, as a lot of guys with a few beers in them can do just as well/badly as him, he's just a modern day Chubby Brown, not the jokes, the shock value.
I have seen some funny bits in his sketches but he just falls back on being controversial and un pc when its not needed.

Tom Stade is. He's an American standup. I think he is based over here now though.

Been on a few standup shows.

People just don't 'get' 'offensive' comedy

    Which is a shame

Well it was a repeat was it not.;)

And being christmas i would have thought a lot of would be viewers were out socialising and not stuck in front of the box.

Also there are lots of other ways of accessing content more instantly ie the channel four you tube stream has all the Tramodol Nights Episodes on it,why wait for the tv repeats .:D

    Thanks for the info.

The accents are similar though and I wonder if Boyle thinks it's easier to do more sketches with a North American type accent (knight rider, batman, a-team, other us show/character parodies) rather than use an English accent.

I was surprised he didn't use his natural accent more.
