2tb Box Software Has Gone Back To Previous Version

When the latest firmware update was released on August 21st it appeared on my 2tb box the following morning. The software version is R012.079.47.00P and features the Sky Movies updates like wishlist and starting a live movie from the start. This morning my box was in standby and for some odd reason the update has gone and the software version has gone back to R011.075.64.00P. What on earth is going on? I have never known a software update to reverse back to the previous one before?

Perhaps theres an issue with it and Sky have rolled it back to the previous, thats the reason other than someones done a forced download on your box restoring the old version. if this is the case you cant get it again until its put on the downstream by Sky.

I have 2 x 2TB boxes neither of them received software R12,.It sounds like Sky have rolled back the S/W .

I wonder if others have had theirs rolled back ?

Last time I remember a major roll back was ............

    SW Released 14th Dec 2005

The last I heard the R012 rollout was planned to go on till October, so its not unusual at all if you have not got it yet. Regarding R011 I believe Sky flagged an update incorrectly and this caused a small number of R012 boxes to think that the R011 version was newer! If your box has been affected then you'll have to wait for R012 to be pushed out again I'm afraid...

We never got the updated software but both our boxes were in standby today and they seem to be still on the old software number they were before - the R 011 64 P one.

My 2tb box is on the same and it's brand new (installed less than a week ago). I'm new to Sky but don't have the movies.

My 2TB box is still on the new version 12 software. The box got it the first day it became available.

The 11.075.64 software was only rolled out itself from 12 August replacing the 11.075.63 version, so is also fairly new.

    Worth a look here:-

    http://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-boxes/Sky-HD-Firmware-update-R012/td-p/2366085/page/3

Suggests the issue is only with boxes with built in wifi.

Sky are continuing to rollout R011.075.64.00P publicly and are prioritising wifi boxes with this release due to it addressing a stability issue on those boxes.

The R012 rollout will continue alongside the rollout of the latest release of R011 until the rollout of R011 is complete, at which point it will be just R012 being rolled out going forward.

As you have noticed some people who were running R012 have been downgraded as a result of the switch of some boxes to R011.075.64.00P that happened last night. This is currently being looked into.

FYI the last rollback was November 2013 and downgraded:

    DRX780 Sky+HD - from R008.063.72.00P to R008.063.68.00P

    Samsung and Pace Sky+HD - from R008.063.72.00P to R008.063.71.00P

    DRX89x Sky+ HD - from R008.063.49.09P to R008.063.49.08P
