10 pm -11 pm.

The writer applies his acerbic wit to the past 12 months in news and TV, from the Chilean miners to the general election, Sherlock to The Only Way Is Essex. With contributions from Doug Stanhope, Grace Dent and Nick Davies, and poetry by Tim Key

'nuff said.

Just reading in another thread that was saying how we need satire and irony on tv.

So looking forward to this :)

Is it just me who could do without this bit of his shows?

One of the festive highlights I'm sure, and a nice promotion to BBC2 too. Hope it does well.

I assume his new BBC2 series will be along shortly - it has featured in one of the Precision Engineered Comedy promos, so presumably it's in the can?

Nope, you're not the only one. I absolutely hate his part. Funny as part of his comedy troupe, not funny on his own.

Fun fact: Barry Shitpeas is played by the programme's director.

Can't stand him either, it's a hack character to begin with...never mind being totally unfunny.

He concedes that Downton, Walking Dead and Sherlock were good. Everything else he's going to slag off!

If you ignore Brooker's hair since he got married to Ms Huq, the quality of the comedy is just as acerbic as ever.
