Tried this for the first time on PS4 yesterday and was shocked to see there only seems to be a streaming option, not a download and watch later as on PS3?
Internet speed is not an issue here (I'm on fibre), but rather location and convenience. I liked to download movies to my PS3 and then move my PS3 into the room with the bigger and better TV and watch them from there (but internet is not wired here nor fast enough wirelessly to stream). The PS4 has now removed that option from me!
I remain amazed that a console with such amazing gaming capabilities is so utterly useless as a media device in comparison with its last-gen brother.

How does that help me? The router is in a convenient location. I shouldn't have to move my router to accomodate Sony removing a service that they provided on a last-gen console.
I guess then I'll just have to dust off the old PS3 to watch movies. It really is such a great media device it's a shame the PS4 is laughably bad.
But I agree it's odd if they don't offer the same download option as PS3.
