Humax HDR and Humax SCR lnb - full single cable use?

Has anyone tried using the HDR with a Humax SCR lnb on a single cable? This should give full operation on a single cable without the need for two feed cables.

Saw on the Sky+ HD forum that someone had tried it on that and it didn't work.
My understanding from reading the LNBs specs is it is designed for using a standard non-SCR compatible STB on the one feed and the other feed is used to cascade up to 4 SCR compatible STBs.

The diseqc capability states SCD (Single Cable Distribution) which afaik is the same as unicable. The icord on which the hdr is based certainly has this capability.
However I remember Nigel Goodwin testing a hdr shortly after after launch with a scr lnb (imported from Germany).
As I remember it results were a bit mixed, hopefully Nigel will post more details.
They may have the capability but has it been activated? How do you access SCR or SCD? - there doesn't seem to be a menu option. Unless there is another secret menu or an Easter Egg we haven't found yet. :eek:
According to SES-Astra's fact sheet (admittedly a year old) the Humax Foxsats aren't on the list of SCD supporting devices.

That list also does not include the three Sky HD boxes that support SCR (the Pace and Amstrad DRX890 and DRX895) so in no way can it be considered comprehensive
Now now, don't get personal - I did take the trouble to do several Google searches and references to SCD are very limited and as the subject of this post was SCR and not SCD I didn't even consider the term SCD in the Humax manual (with which I am quite familiar). Furthermore, there are more references to SatCR on the web than to SCR, the former apparently being used to avoid confusion with many other SCR abbreviation topics. Or is the OP actually talking about Selective Catalytic Reduction ?

Stand alone systems like the one the hdr purports to support is normally called SCD or unicable as I referred to in my original post and is pretty clear that's what DM was enquiring about.
It was your comment about lack of support in the hdr/hd menus that was totally incorrect. Like diseqc support it's not giiven any coverage in the manual which is really aimed at Freesat only users.
I doubt Humax customer support is equipped to give support to the boxes more esoteric functions.
In any case there's nothing wrong with the OP, the box should support this mode of operation though it would seem pretty pointless using it with the single tuner hd for the average user.
I was going to try it, early on, but BobCat said that Humax didn't recommend it. I am tempted again, especially as the technology is now supported by Sky. If you finf out anything solid, let us know. (I'll do likewise.)
