Really enjoyed Ice age 3 last week! Can't wait for Christmas and more movies! Really want some new pixar ones, but would love a repeat of Finding Nemo in a good slot, it's one of my favourite movies of all time!
Does anyone know what channels How to train your dragon, Monsters vs Aliens and Cloudy with a chance of meatballs will be on? All from 2009 ish and would love to see HTTYD at christmas!
Channel 4 are showing Vicky Christina Barcelona and Bruno as their big Christmas premieres this year. No idea about the BBC or ITV yet. Channel 5 will probably show a load of repeats as usual, unless Desmond is pulling out the stops this year?

How To Train Your Pet Dragon and Monsters vs. Aliens are Dreamworks Animation so BBC (probably next year though)
Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs is Sony Pictures Animation so Channel 5 (possibly next year maybe this year)

Generally films from 2009 and 2010, I would think. Harry Potter and the half blood prince, avatar, up, the princess and the frog, 2012, twilight new moon etc.
How comes Channel 4 are premiering 2 average films at christmas when they've been showing good films all year round, such as twilight, ice age 3, transformers and many others? methinks channel 4 bosses are slightly crazy!

next year probably around christmas... (we may Twilight 2 this year)
Taken - 21:00 Channel 4
Saturday 4th December
The Golden Compas - 17:55 Channel 4
Toy Story 3 and Shrek 4 will probably be on in 2013, I know that's long isn't it!
Avatar and new moon next year prob
And also:
showing the Goldan Compas is pointless it is a part of a trilogy that never got completed and does not stand on it's own they must have got it cheap.
They have contracts with studios not per film
It's never been shown on any of the terrestrial channels before. You are correct
