The news about PKN and Finland has even made the Top 10 most read articles at BBC online:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-31682196
They are actually ranked as favourites?! :o That's what it says there:

"The quartet, named PKN, was chosen by Finnish viewers on Saturday and has now been ranked by bookmakers as among the favourites for the contest."
I don't have much else to add to the cacophany of comments already swirling around about Finland ... but if I were Finn I'd try and see the positives.

This year's UMK outshone MelFest (the supposed gold standard) at every turn and featured some great songs. The Punks won't be in next years selection (praise Jesus) so, if the standard persists, we're bound to get an amazing song - albeit a year late!
True - but it's a bittersweet consolation... As, like I said, there were a couple of songs that could have made top 10, and they're lost now...

And I am trying to see positives, though they are few and far between, like not having to fear us crashing out in the semi ;)

rosetta and everyone, I want to apologise for that angry outburst. Obviously that was a comment going too far and I feel bad about it now.

Well they are 6/1 at Betfair, only behind Estonia and Italy. Stranger things have happened. :D

Edit: And 5/1 at Betfred, so even better.

Don't worry, I understand; like I said a bit earlier, my own angry outburst on the Finnish eurovision forum may have got me banned there for a while ;)

It's just so utterly conflicting emotionally - I hate the result myself, but then again I do feel upset when others say bad things about it... Or not about the song itself, but saying things like "Finland sucks" etc...

If EBU want to try and salvage the quality of this duff year for the 60th anniversary, I say they disqualify Eduard for corruption and PKN for their song being too short.. :D

Being short is the only thing it's got going for it.... and the EBU will love that if it gets to the final with 27 songs to fit in. - the way the media will react it could make it....

We're taking a lot about travesties from last night. I think the biggest one was Annika finishing 6th in Sweden :(

It really does. I think she can sing this well live and if she puts on an incredible stage performance on top of that (this song was destined for it), she is a lock for Top 5!!!

After Donatan's comments about Conchita winning last year (he blamed Poland's result on heterophobia), I hope he keeps well away.

I don't mind 'Amanecer' but I don't think it lives up to the hype. Not a winner anyway, not for now. It doesn't compare to Queen Ruth (THE RAIN, THE RAIN, DANCING!) or even, Brequette. Sorry Spain. :p

It certainly doesn't live up to the hype. I'm failing to decipher any kind of proper melody from it. Feels like it is one of those songs that was composed more with the actual visual presentation in mind which always bugs me.

I'm trying not to be too hard in it as it might "click" with me on repeated listens but initial reaction is not good.

Found a piece of filth in the voting! This time from 2011.

    http://youtu.be/ytfyt2XvNi4?t=3m16s

third guy from the right says "I want you! I want to f*** you!"

    Filth

[although everyone else has probably realised this and I'm just late to the party :D)
